One note, not all task killers in Android work the same way, where some task killers don't automatically kill all tasks and list tasks (oldest idle first) allowing the user to "uncheck" which tasks will be killed (a number of task killers also exclude critical OS and applications from the kill list).

That's one of benedits of 64 bits.Seems this days people read something on third hand sites on the net and think they are technologically omniscient.

Guys, the need of RAM in android is not because android is badly written. It is a design decision. Apps are executed in a virutal machine (Dalvik) and each app is assigned to an instance. When you are done with the app, OS suspends it in RAM so when you need it again, you don't have to reinitialize it. When RAM usage goes up to a limit, then the OS frees RAM by ending the oldest not used applications. That's why task killers do a bad thing and that's why you see minute amounts of free RAM even on smartphones with 2Gb or 3Gb or RAM. Unused RAM in android world is BAD. The more RAM is given to android for USE IT the more responsive the phone will be.

What is changed on 4.4 is that the first time you install an application, dalvic will convert it to native machile language code. So the installation will take more time but in the same time running the app will be faster and you won't have to keep all the applications in RAM.

AnonD-178450, 31 Dec 2013When I'm saying that you need a 64-bit chip to address 4 GB... moreNope. Using PAE 32bit processors can handle directly RAM sizes > 4Gb. PAE is not a trick, is a hardware characteristic. That been said in 32bit OSES the limit per process is indeed 4Gb and thus you cannot mmpap() more than this size but then again on mobile phones or tablets you don't really care.

You can do 512-bit calculations in 32-bit chip or any size for that matter, but all those things u're referring to are techniques used by the OS, not directly by hardware.

Uh..I think you are talking about iOS not about this Sammy one beacuse ios7 64 bit doesn't have any supports from developers but Android supports 64 bit+4GB RAM would be real deal. and camera apps crash on iphones (I've never heard of android camera crash on Note 3) and games and apps crashes more often on ios7 because they don't support 64 bit please stop faking for god sake.Noob!
P.S-like really? their features don't work well? but on my Note 10.1 2014 ver. even on wifi version they work flawlessly. So please!

The limiting of addressing 4Gb of 32 bit processors with PAE applies *ONLY* to windows 32 bit versions. Linux and other OSes can handle directly MORE than 4Gb. The limit of 4Gb at 32bit OS (other than windows 32bit) is per PROCESS and not for the OS itself.
