Having a bigger market share doesn't give you the guarantee of having a better type of OS. Logical thinking is what you need people! Google Android has a lot of OEMs out there helping Android to expand their market share! What are the OEMs that produce Android devices? There are Sony, Samsung, HTC, LG, Huawei, ZTE, Alcatel, Acer, Asus, the Google owned company Motorola, the OEMs that do not launch their devices internationally but run Android such as Pantech, XOLO, Xiaomi, BLU and etc! Here in tne Philippines there are a lot of local OEMs that run Android which are Cherry Mobile, Cloudfone, MyPhone, Arc Mobile, Starmobile, O+ and a whole lot more so Android has a lot of OEMs that is why they will have the biggest market share in the market. On the other hand, what are the OEMs for Windows Phone OS? Only Nokia as the major distributor in the market and some other OEMs like Samsung, Huawei and HTC but those are the only ones that Produce WP8 powered devices. The things that make Android wanted by a lot are

          1. Android is an open ecosystem. You can personalize it and make it your own.

          2. More apps have been developed for it.

If only it will be a battle between Moto X and Nokia Lumia 1520, which one would win? Both are owned by the companies that developed Android and WinPhone. Do you guys think that Moto X can stand a chance against Lumia 1520? Only a fool would say that Moto X can outdo the 1520 coz it has better Apps and the OS is customizable. Motorola is owned by Google but Google can't even keep up the fight against the tech giants Samsung, LG, HTC and Sony when it comes to features. Remove all the OEMs that produce great Android devices and leave it with just Nokia and Motorola and tell everyone in the world if Android is still better than WinPhone. Windows Phone is also younger than Android so give it sometime to further develop in the Apps category. Android can not even keep up the battle when it comes to fluidity of the OS. I use Xperia Z1 and it sometimes lags which I haven't seen in my mom's Lumia 920. Be fair, that's all I can say before you bash the OS in favor of Android.

After buying a Z1 and regretting it cos the bootloader wasn't able to be unlocked cos i chose to buy from a provider?? (when has that been an issue in the past?)

I will never buy Sony again, they suck so hard I simply cannot recommend them ever again, terrible customer services and no feedback.

              Avoid like the plague.

This is good news, I love Sony phones personally, from the old Walkman series to recent Xperia.

But I don't like WP OS, too many limitation.

I like desktop Windows, Windows Server, Windows CE, and Windows Mobile. But I hate Windows Phone & Windows RT because of their locked-down nature.

Problems that prevent me switch to WP:
                - No call blocker with whitelist.
                - Can't play PPSSPP emulator.
                - No JIT allowed.
                - No file explorer.

That's pretty basic. I don't need lot of apps, just a reliable phone with call whitelist that allow me to accept call from families & relatives but block others.

And I don't need lot of games either, just 1-2 PSP AAA games to kill time is more than enough.

This piece of news (er, rumor) is really worth waiting for some iota of truth to it.

If true, wow!. I cant wait to see - and eventually buy - a Sony WP that is IP57 certified - dust and water resistant and shatterproof and scratch-resistant glass.

We all know that WP is a part of the large Windows Ecosystem; PC, XBox, WP, and RT. Larger than Android which is confined to only mobile devices.

Sony Xperia with WP8? Good Luck!
That's because WP8 uses Xbox Live and Sony uses the PSN gaming network.
Outcome: PSN user cannibalization and market downfall because of users switching to Xbox Live.

Sounds good, would be nice for Windows Phone users. I had used Nokia Lumia 520 for 5 months, in 6th months and til now I went back to Android again.
