Dpx, 06 Jan 2014Dreams on if you think the S5 mini will be nearly as good a... moreDid you even read my comment?
First read it then comment, then you might have noticed I didn't said it's not a proper mini flagship which the S4 mini isn't. The problem is the phone is already half a year old and a new generation is just around the corner. The S5 mini won't have the same specs as the S5, like the Z1 mini has the same as the Z1, but it will be a next gen device. Whereasthe Z mini will be already ancient.
If Sony would have released it in August or September.

That screen should be a 5'' 1080p, because a 4.3 is too small, at least for the size of the phone itself, i was expecting something more on the line of xperia zl, now that's a compact phone, without sacrificing the screen.
Sony has the bad habit of making the bezels too big! making the overall size of the phone to tall. Just compare the Z to the Z1, the same 5" screen but the Z1 is magically taller!

Slayer, 06 Jan 2014As I recall, the iPhone, LG G2, HTC One, Nexus 5 etc. do no... moreYou are right. Because of this I´m still looking for the S4 active LTE-A and hoping that it´s more water resistant than the "old" S4 active.
I still don´t like screens bigger than 4.7": The bigger, the faster they break.
But I prefer to have the disadvantage of a more sensible (for impacts) 5" screen than to have the disadvantage of a non-removable battery.
For the reason of the non-removable battery I sold my old and only i-phone already years ago, ...and never returned to apple. So lucky :-)) then.

Bring it on Sony. For years I am saying the current trend of flagship phones are ignoring the 1st concern of a mobile phone. They are racing a stupid race of outing ever so bigger phone with every iteration. I ended up buying xperia sp because no other phone came up with a decent spec in my budget. Its 4.6" and I still think even this is sometime not comfortable to handle.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2014weak battery again...Weak battery? And you know this how? The HTC One has the same capacity battery as does the Nexus 5 yet this baby has less pixels to push and screen to power up! Stop commenting on something you could not possible know anything about! If actual use suggests the battery is weak, then fine!

All galaxy minis feel like they are cheaper version of the real thing, not a miniature of the flagship.
This would be an awesome replacement for my Arc.

I'm not the fan of hangdroid and the lazy company named SONY, but I might swap my N8 to Z1S if the price will be reasonable. Otherwise I'll get myself iPhone 5s.

This Z1mini would be mine, if it had a removable battery.
I like to take a second battery with me on my outdoor-trips; And also change the battery when it gets weak after (sometimes) only one year in use.
Why can´t Sony go on with removable batteries like in the water- and dust-resistant Xperia V? Because in this way they can sell more phones, when the batteries get weak and are non-removable. Good deal, if a company believes that the people are stupid enough. Not with me.

Took too long, if it was expected, was still without a flagship. Ia purchase mini S4, but the configuration was very low, with respect to the GPU Adreno 305, which was supposed to be 320. This Smartphone from Sony is pretty cool, compact as wanted, but had to resign myself to buy the 9505 S4.
