Gudumba Shankar, 08 Jan 2014No, it is because 99% of all the phones who gets release... moreIt's not because people prefer Android. Android has always been the lowest in user satisfaction from what I've seen. Android took off back then when iPhone was exclusive to AT&T while Android was on every carrier. The Lumia 1520 is the flagship phone that is exclusive to AT&T here in the US. Really wish they could release it to other carriers. Simply put, there aren't many WP8 phones to pick from compares to Android.

        # And that's because people prefer Android, Mr.smartypants. I'm not sure about the number you have mentioned, but yes, there sure are a large number of Android phones hitting the markets, which by the way implies there's a demand for Android.

Barely getting sold is a very big understatement. It sells in the tens of millions even though it is available in one fifth of the markets and one "hundreth" of the phones available. It's also closing in on Ios in Eu5 and will soon be the worlds second largest mobile OS.

        # Barely getting sold in comparison to Android. And thanks for the prediction, Nostradamus. I'm sure the people in Apple's camp are wetting their pants upon reading your prediction.

          # Android is open source, of course, it would be free of cost.

No, it is not... It is a common misconception... Android costs licensing-money both to Google, and to every other company who has patents which Google infringe on. But since Google only asks for licensing-money for their apps, OEM's have to pay for every other patent infringement themselves.

          # People prefer Android because of the customization it offers, unlike WP and iOS.

No... People don't prefer Android to anything... They do have a hard time finding anything else.

          # WP phones don't get sold more in comparison to Android simply because Android is superior to WP8 in features, customization, available apps. If there's something where the WP scores a brownie point over Android, it's the fluidity of the OS.

No, it is because 99% of all the phones who gets released are running Android.

          # I can only smile at your ignorance for believing that Android is cheap and WP is of higher value. Anyway, the cheap stuff you mentioned is at least getting sold, albeit in millions, while the high valued WP is barely getting sold, apart from the Nokia loyalists.

Android is a super buggy OS, stutters quite often, UI is not consistence. iOS has small screens. Those iPhone screens are awful with low refresh rate that hurts your eyes in long viewing sessions. I am glad there is a Windows Phone 8 OS with big screens or choices.

It's cheap/free OS that's why all the OEMs are using it to flood the market. Not because it's the best or anything. When you have 100 Android phones on a carrier vs 1 or 2 Windows Phone on a carrier, of course Android will sell more. Cheap stuff usually sells a lot.

Nothing wrong with WP? Most of the games and apps get released several months after they get released on Android and iOS, some don't even get released at all, no file manager, no notification drop down bar, the list can keep going on. Android isn't the most used OS on smartphones for nothing. Come up with a more solid argument the next time you try to troll.
