If Google in the future would ban all file managers from the play store it would get a full rage of their users. You can count on that! Nobody will be like you... file managers... meh...
I do lots of stuff on Android's ES File Explorer, like copying huge chunks of data to my desktop share and other stuff from my /sdcard/Downloads folder to their respective folders. And I also copy data/apks for installation of apps. I basically do the same thing you do on your Windows desktop (butthurt much?). :)
I will write Microsoft they can eliminate File Explorer on their upcoming Windows 9, because we don't need to manage our files LOL! ;P

You did not realize bcoz you did not check before installing those gdr3 and the black update. I only say what i have experience. cant even delete apn's in wp8 L625. Just pure color update. The update is just for bug fix and minor tweaks. Show changelogs instead of saying colored updates.
