I tested this on my girlfriend's phone and heck, it's so laggy. I had to flash the Android 4.3x version.

S4phone, 10 Jan 2014No matter KitKat, Choco or whatever they call just another ... morei think the reason s4 is slower in opening apps ect is because there is sod all on an iphone,the features on an s4 compared to the iphone is amazing,some people love touchwiz and some dont if you have stock android on s4 like the iphone has stock(basically no features)the s4 would blow the iphone out of the water speed wise...

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2014Hey s4 is the most powerful & advance phone of 2013true. Processing power is not everything. Other phones (nexus5) have mediocre cameras, no expandable storage, no removable battery... S4 is the best all rounder and its price is falling also,making it a best buy.

No matter KitKat, Choco or whatever they call just another version of Android, it will always be slower than iOS.
I converted from iPhone to S4 (now running 4.3) just because of screen size, but difference in speed is notably in favour of iPhone!
Native apps on my S4 like Phone, Messages have incredibly slow response comparing to iPhone.
I want my S4 to have lightening speed, response, etc. and unfortunately that won't change with KitKat either!!!
