My countrymen are so brainwashed by apple products. if they have more money and dont know wat to do with that, jus go blindly to the store and buy a phone without even aware of that product.Indians(we) think they are superior to others if they own an Iphone. this scenario should change here tbh. If i see a friend or any unknown with iphone, my mind- "COngrats mate, you've been fooled". I had not recommended this Icrap to any of my friends and i wont.

AnonD-25084, 14 Jan 2014I am surprised at the," teenage girls from lower middl... morewell, in south east asian countries lower middle class are somewhat well off, they cant afford a new car or latest model phones but they are doing ok. Im not talking about the poor or homeless but families with monthly income and somewhat predictable budget. Middle class in SE Asia is very different, they have big houses, nice cars and often latest model phones, would be called rich in western country. I dont think India is that different from SE Asia where its too easy for a lower middle class family to buy nice things on credit.

I really don't understand the reason for this? Apple is probably living in their own delusional world.

                    S4 , HTC-One,Lumia - 1050 ,are much better and much cheaper phones then these over-priced show-offs.

To think that iphone 4 is not successful in india because of it's price then check the price list.

I am surprised at the," teenage girls from lower middle class family" part. How can u casually say this thing knowing that a lower middle class person is unable to get this much money for a month sometimes. Kindly bear in mind the facts before commenting.

i think we should let people buy whatever they want rather than cribbing about it and judging them in forums! honestly it's a matter of personal preference and does not need to be a cause for ire! android ? ios? who cares? if you want one and have the means to get it then go ahead and do so I think it's high time these comparisons stop because honestly android and ios are very different and it all comes down to personal choices!

It's a great move, I would endorse it. However, the price is yet too overpriced. I'd assume for a 4 year model, the manufacturing process costs would have been reduced; unless Apple are adding a huge profit-margin for themselves.

In India, and other countries in South Asia, everybody acknowledges iPhones and Samsung Galaxy S range as the ultimate, most high-end phone; thus is desired. However, most people unfortunately purchase Nokia's due to their relative low costs.

I am not an Indian citizen, actually I'm British; but I understand their current state. Regardless, my main point; reduce the price on the outdated iPhone 4 even further, and please spare me the, "it can't be cut any further". If that's you're attitude, you should have been prepared to lose your market share.

Nothing , Nothing gonna change the fate of Apple here in India. They think the only wise people are sitting in Apple !! that's foolish,Apple just see & learn form companies like Samsung & Nokia of which India is one of the biggest market due to the global pricing, But Apple products are sold in 150% of the US pricing !! so nothing is gonna change their sales here.

AnonD-80553, 14 Jan 2014Soooo hoping a select group would buy this very dated tech ... moreOf course many will rather buy this than an Android, if only for the name. Teenage girls from the lower middleclass for example. It seems like a scam to me though, a single core phone with virtually no storage and no expansion, which is notorious for duplicate files due to lack of a real filesystem, in 2014? Yeah, i guess its an insult.

If they make it iOS6 it may be usable, but knowing Apple i am sure they will push it with iOS7, which iphone4 is not able to run in a decent way, even 4S has big problems.

even 15000 price is too high for outdated specs.
