Served me well for my outdoor extreme lifestyle, but i got angry 1 day and threw it against the wall and the thing shattered into a thousand pieces. definitely NOT indestructable...

Just got this phone, and it's the best rugged tough phone I've ever had. I've had Nokias 5410 & 5500 sport, and even JCB phone. And this one is by far the best. Fastest menu system I've ever used on a phone. Some may see it as basic features, but there's more than enough there, just because people will compare this to smartphones, which you shouldn't. It's a tough phone, and it does tough very very well! 10/10 I'd give this (and that doesn't happen often with a phone for me!

this also bears the IP57 certification test.which also sonim xp3 enduro.it means that they are equal in toughness.but the price of xp3 is very high and their is no other features in sonim xp3 without ruggedness.while it have also good specification as 1.3 mp camera with auto focus.fm radio and card slot also.and above the all low price tag.

Matej, 29 Jan 2009I'm sorry bu i think nokia had waterproof mobile a long tim... morecorrection, they had a water RESISTANT phone, not waterproof.. nothing can be claimed to be waterproof.. there's been several on the market from nokia, sony, sonim.. the one thing phone companies need to realise is that a phone doesn't have to be basic to be rugged.. they could easily do a 3G/3.5G model without the foward facing camera and hsdpa and it would SELL.. sturdy doesn't have to be basic, give us who need a tough phone better options, 2G network is LAME, not every tradesman woks in metropolitan areas, give us 850umts in a tough shell, how hard can it be?

DS phon had bricks on it an water an sand ans still OK. THe bestt of all ever. mayjor hard. Bash it no wrries, smash also ok for it. dunno bout bang.

I Think some of these posters need to get a life. I will be selling hunderds of these. people who work on building sites want a phone they can drop and use. not something with a 45 megapixel camrea that stops working when it gets a bit chilly.
