I wanted to get the Z1 since the Sirius was rumored to have a 2K display, but now I'm going to wait for this beast. If they move above 1080p then I won't be upgrading til we have 4K on a phone, 2K is just a weird, and ridiculous resolution.

All it does is stutter more during fast scene changes and take up valuable storage. 100% placebo, drinking water from a vodka bottle does not make you drunk for real you know.

Note 3 ! I´ve one and it´s a monster killer. The video at 60fps or at 4k is amazing.

Better to have than to not have, right? Lets hope this is IPS, i have tested Z Ultra and loved the IPS display, not for the viewing angles but for the added contrast and liveliness, and reports have it that the display of Z1 Compact is even better. Z1f users in Japan are also reporting about excellent display but Z Ultra is not available in Japan so they cant provide a side by side comparison.

One Minute Please !! People just go to the beginning of this thread, "up until this certain individual, everyone was praising Sony and the Xperia Sirius" until this one person wrote "is it a typo or did sony reduce the sensor size" until then most comments were positive but after that please read the comments yourselfs, everyone started dissing Sony;) Some people just Pathetic, Sony updated everything, before people were saying Xperia Z1 has too thick bezels, its speakers are low volume, we dont need water resistance,ip58 bla bla bla, this time Sony actually listens and Reduces the Bezels to a minimum all while keeping the same awesome Glass & Aluminium Design managing to increase screen size without increasing handset size, the only thing they needed to maintain this design was "maybe" reduce or switch to a smaller camera sensor, which is "still" same size sensor as the Nokia Lumia 1520 which by the way shoots some of the best Photos, in my Opinion this update from Sony deserves Respect, not dissing from people who just comment like sheep, just for the sake of commenting.
Ps. (Note 3, S4,HTC One, iphone 5s they all have even smaller sensor with less Mpx but still take good photos)

Most moronic step any company could t... moreThe previous sensor wasnt that great anyway, and my theory is that the lens setup required to spread the light over such a big area was a problem, lots of Z1 has problems with blur in parts of the picture, if a smaller sensor can enable the use of a more accurate lens assembly without adding to the thickness then its a big step forward.

drink it in… people will find some other way to hate soon. It will either be that the bezel is STILL too big, or people will be saying the viewing angles aren't as good as *** and ###. To me… it looks like Sony took the better route. making a weather proof phone with the perfect design. while others focus on other things. i can't wait to see what else sony has in store for us in the future.
You wouldn't be making a bad choice if you hopped on the Sony train right now

Nice specs and the UI has been long overdue for change.
This phone looks more like they copied all the specs and UI from other phones and combined them into one. Nice phone by the way except for the camera part which might affect night pictures.

As far as the underwater picture goes its for video and the same goes for snowboarding etc. plus this new Gloves on option and many others just gonna make it stand above all cause Sony combined the best of all phones and put it in one waterproof,baest camera,premium finishphone.

Sensor size reduced?! Most moronic step any company could take after the previous release which didn't do that well either.
This must be some wrong info because if it's accurate this is a terrible flop in the making.
Sensor size must increase to reduce noise and improve low light abilities.
