Root or no root will not save you, apps or no apps will not save you neither. Only thing is to keep yourself clean and do nothing bad, and let them spy anyways.

afraid guy, 28 Jan 2014I've a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a LG Nexus 5 and I have 2 GB I... moreIf you want you can have a look at the most modern outdated platform lol its the Symbian Belle FP2 present on the Nokia 808 (41MP cameraphone).. you can be sure they won't spy on you while using this system.. the only thing they will be able to track is the data YOU send to the network provider, like, facebook pages, etc. These phones are some of the few that we have total knowledge of what's is inside the system folders and also one of the few that closes the camera sensor automatically with a plastic cover when not in use so you know there is no camera able to "see" anything when not in use.

AnonD-92769, 28 Jan 2014Windows Phone os is the only secure platform today. No way! Microsoft is the leading brand to spy its users.. Android, EyeOS, WP are totally up to spying.. Still I trust my symbian phone (people hacked and looked into everything stored in the C,E,F and Z (ROM) drives and it doesn't have anything to do with spying.. so my conclusion is: Symbian and Bada mobiles are probably not being spyed by inside... still the network provider can track your facebook navigation etc.

So basically try to cover both your cameras and muffle the microphone, and they'll probably stop after a while.

I've a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a LG Nexus 5 and I have 2 GB Internet data plan for a month. I only download applications and games from other sites. Out of 2040 MB (2 GB), I have downloaded exactly of 200 MB of applications but in data usage option in my phone, the exact amount of data I have consumed is showing 800 MB, I don't browse much or do social networking. The applications that has consumed my data are Android OS (150 MB) Google Play Store (350 MB) and Google Play Services (300 MB) even though background data is restricted on my phone and auto sync is off. I always disable packet data whenever not in use. I wonder why those three applications I've mentioned consumed so much data of mine and I hear "click click" sound coming out of my phone whenever using Angry Birds game with Internet connection on. The sound is exactly like when the camera auto focuses. Is NSA extracting data from my phone? I'm afraid.. Please tell me how to disable applications from requiring ridiculous permissions. I don't know what to do. I'm very afraid. I'm like someone is spying on me on my phone. Should I go for a BlackBerry or some other out dated OS?

Remember the outrage over the Chinese way of watching the internet?

That is the one thing that made the western world break-up their love relationship with America: the hypocrisy and the double-standards.

When America spies on their people they are "liberators". When the rest of the world spies on their people they are ruthless dictators. Nice consistent thoughts America.

The more you hide behind falsehood, the more people get suspicious.

The more hacked, free games, third party roots, unregistered crap you installed without truly knowing, invites more malware and people take advantage of you.

Just live a clean healthy life, and abide the Law, then no one will be-able to blame you, and no privacy loss to you is too great either.

So what if NSA knows what you are doing? Not that they will tell the world about one's shameful life.. they have better things to do.

i hear people saying who cares and if you have nothing to hide then why is it an issue. so let me ask... if you saw someone pulling out the content of you rucksack or handbag, would you stop them or be somewhat annoyed???? if you saw someone pearing thru your window would kick them down the laders???? the point is it's not cool man. i see we have bad people in the world but lets face it, we always have an always will it's a shame that everyone is a victim! NSA suck and also i very much doubt much terrorist info will be on angry birds add's. have they acctually caught any terrorist via this way as 911 happend and 7/7 in uk and many more. is this really working NSA.
