I simply deleted the program and reinstalled it and it worked perfectly again. Same thing may be required for FB to work again. Hope this helps!

Yep definitely did all of that, turned the phone on and off about 4 times after the update, made sure the radios, location services and data were turned off including bluetooth to ensure that nothing was hogging the battery.

I think it just comes down to the new OS software... just hoping BB release another update that isn't a disaster. Being a previous iPhone user and switching to BB, I was quite happy till this update to the OS. Oh well, what can ya do.

Manny, 01 Feb 2014Software update completed successfully. My Q10 became a 'h... moreI have the BB Z10 exact same thing happened to me after the update. My phone battery is completely dead in 5hrs or less of idle usage, which makes it ridiculous to even carry around as I can't use it much. My only suggestion can be to carry around a charger with you as a back up (just in case) or purchase a spare battery.

I also found that if you take the phone apart i.e remove the battery and sim from the phone and leave them for about 10 mins to cool and then replace them, it somehow helps the device. It's weird, but I do this once every couple of days and it's been working a little better. Still have to charge it midway through the day though. Hope this helps! :)

confused, 02 Feb 2014Yeah I did, I just changed to a simple password and it stopped Thanks. I guess I'll give that a shot. I was hoping to avoid that because I've been using the password for years and I'm a creature of habit. Oh well.

I was able to update my Z10 to this new OS. Afterwards FB and other app also sent apps update. Unfortunately, after all this updated software, I can't access FB in the hub. If you open the FB it will take sometime. I lost my contact in whatsup. Is there any software update again to correct this issue?

Is anyone having a problem with the device password? After the update I have had trouble getting the phone to accept my password unless I significantly slow down my typing speed. If I key too quickly it rejects the password. I am not making errors it just can't keep up. I have a Q10. I upgraded to 10.2.1.537 two days ago.

                              My Q10 became a 'heater'.
Power consumption goes through the roof (~20% consumed within first hour of mostly idle operation)

Agreed, the previously unimpressive power management has been downgraded to render the device virtually useless on-the-go. I just thank my lucky stars that I am not a shareholder. Rather than wasting more time with BlackBerry, we need to identify a suitable alternative handset, because this company is oblivious.
