& why should we see WP on laptops since it's not even designed for them?

Same with W8, if Microsoft would like to do it. But - just because he "could be" doesn't mean it "should be". You know - when you say one thing could do everything, it really means that can do nothing at all.
Old sentence, but still wise, especially in OS world.

I have my nokia lumia 525 and it is a way ahead to any other WP8 handset,because with lumia amber and black update it is now much user friendly then any other WP8 handset,as task become easier to kill for app switcher menu,1 GB of ram more than enough for gaming and multitasking and 8gb storeage and sd card and good camera,premium look,supersensitive touch,awesome internet speed,HERE maps,not to forget gameloft game worth rs. 2025 free pack,and longer battery life.But i really appreciate samsung for serious about WP8,and other companies,so that WP ecosystem grow rapidly and improve.

We have 7 inch tablets with full Windows 8.1, when will we see a 6 inch phone with full Windows 8.1? WP is totally pointless! We already have Android laptops, Lenovo IdeaPad A10!

My guess is that its a device to take on the Lumia 525.
By offering larger screen at the same size (you could fit a 4,7" screen inside the frame of the 525).
Probably no more powerfull internals. Probably not a Amoled, but WP looks great on Amoleds, so that could really make it stand out in a budget comparisson, but the screen size will probably do it as well...
Samsung could also be aiming at undercutting the price of the Lumia 525.
Below 100 dollars/euro upon release, could steal them the market.
A device like that, could easily sell as manu units as the latest Note models do, so it could be lucrative.

Samsung makes average phones anyways. Already had several Samsung phones. I'll stick with Nokia.

for sure lumia series are better in wp.but 8x wins lumia920 and 925 in processing program(same cpu,gpu and ram) .I have 920 and see the scores in multibench 2 program.also lumia is better in camera and touch and display.i hope that htc back to wp(instead of sony) and we see the competition of two high quality brand....I never buy a Samsung toy

Samsung should put it's gimmicky features on their WP devices like the ones found on their flagship galaxy's but then again, it's WP OS; I haven't even updated my Lumia 920 to any updates not even the Amber one. Nokia/Microsoft have lame updates.

I think it wud be cool to see Samsung produce 2 or more windows phones this year, and with the likes of Sony, HTC and Huawei in the windows-phone game this year, things wud get more interesting!

You think that with it having a 4.3" display it might be a midranger? What about the 4.3" screened Sony Xperia Z1 Compact? With its 20.7mp camera and Snapdragon 800 processor?

More than half of memory would be filled by bloatware. What is left is for windows restore ;-)
