Hopefully he will step forward to make windows phone better and Microsoft windows much easier to use. Even though windows 8.1 was great but still something is missing. The position Microsoft has on today's market is still very strong. It's high time they took advantage of it and made it even better.

Thanks to Apple & Google who changed the world by introducing mobile OS such as iOS and Android that enable mobile devices such as smartphone and tablet to function like a PC that killed Windows.

I bet Satya will focus on next generation of Cloud Computing innovation and Enterprise business.
Most probably he will spin off Xbox & Mobile(Surface & Lumia) as an independent company and make Stephen Elop the new CEO.

Nor does my mom.
Most of us learned on Wintel, but we all switched to Macs when OS X came out.
