If this phone comes with the android os it is an instant purchase for me. Even though I've only recently got the innov8.
Please, please dont be on windows mobile 6.0n or 6.5.
Not until windows mobile 7 is out at least

this year is 2009, Nowdays too early to make a decission what phone is the best in 2009. you must see and wait till all company sell their high end phone..see the spec, advantages and disavantages

like samsung, sonyericsson will bring it's 12 megapixel full hd recording phone "yurika" add a 8mp ultimate music phone and lg's next great camera phone.
Don't be so foulish nokia will surely kick ass with it's palm pre like phone.

The Symbian Foundation's goal is to provide a royalty-free open platform and accelerate innovation. And the expect to complete work on completely open sourcing Symbian sometime this year.
So, Nokia no longer controls S60, as you stated they do.

don't think it will come with HD recording
but if it does in addition of symbian i would buy 100% and leave the N97 ;x but only of it has both ;x
but if Nokia gets a 8MP camera ven w/o HD Video i would go with nokia

Maybe the reason why samsung keeps on throwing heavy spec'd phones worldwide is because it seems that their tech is well funded.
nokia? I dont think so. But they still rock the mobile industry.

moto? Seems to be forgotten.
Htc? Jesus christ! Can they lower their phone's prices?
Apple? Definitely Proven UI friendly on their products.
