AnonD-112678, 10 Feb 2014Well, HTC did that before Sony with the One S in 2012, but ... morei couldn't agree more. The HTC One S is such a cool, smart looking device i went and bought a second unit last year over the minis and all the rest of it all. My one has an S4 chip, its one of the best feel phones out. All HTC had to do was keep the design and make a good thing fantastic. that phone IS quietly brilliant

Anonym, 09 Feb 2014It may (eventually) be the best looking Android of it's cla... moreWell, HTC did that before Sony with the One S in 2012, but now they stopped doing this. Given its lower-resolution screen it arguably performed better than the One X. It also had an aluminum unibody while the One X had polycarbonate. It's unfortunate that they went on to kill off the One S.

There is no doubt the M8 Mini would be a good phone but if HTC wants to succeed in the low end market they need to do what they did with the One S. AND not forget about it! They should have at least given it a Snapdragon 600 but I guess they can't afford anything right now. Of all HTC phones right now, the Butterfly s is the highest spec'd with Snapdragon 600 at 1.9 gHz. Still impressive but I think HTC is unable to keep up due to their financial situation.

does anyone notice that the camera for htc m8 mini will not be using the ultra pixel? the leak suggest that the camera will be 13mp rear and 5mp front.. which gives us a hint that the next flagship will probably not using the ultrapixel technology.. just my thought.

it has the specs from the last flagship, the one X, but with slightly smaller screen. one X runs, buttery smooth with 4.2.2 and Sense 5, i`m sure it will run even better with 4.4.2 and Sense 6.0. humanity, stop hating! it's all good, nobody cares about your samsungs, iphones and htcs, everybody knows whats best for them :) get along

excellent.every things are ok and perferct.and a question ,could anyone tell me what is the benefit of 4k in mobile?!and how you can discern and differentiate 4k from 1080p????? why some body hinder?! why tell some sentences to confuse minds and turn costumer off from htc?! and why.... ? one mini was the first htc mini class and this mini is improve the one mini defect. this could be an amazing and useful phone.take my words. 4core 1.4 and good camears for midrange and battery and screen are ok.
              thanks hTC.

Seriously HTC? I like your phones but daam. Why would you make just a small upgrade like this, when 1 of your competitors has a phone with Snapdragon 800 quad-core with 2 GB ram and 720p display? You're going to loose cliants if you keep up like this.

                    Anonymous, 09 Feb 2014Fail.Why fail?

Because we really need 4k screens on a 4" phone and we really need raw power, without regard to actual usability?!

As long as the user experience is flawless, specs are irrelevant to people who actually use phones (and who actually have lives....)

At first I thought great news. But 4,5inch is to big for a mini. 4,3 was really maximum with compact width.

Or maybe they can release nano versions of phones.

Cenas, 09 Feb 2014I believe you but it never sold much compared to N95. And ... moreReviewers usually dont live with the phone in question, they are focused on doing their standard generic tests in an highly organized way in just 4 to 7 days, very lacking in real life scenarios. For example i always been somewhat amazed that reviewers dont have any idea how to use a qwerty sideslider. You see it in other things also, HTC One has been a reviewer favorite but it isnt all that great for the real users, and one reviewer who did a few months real life review of it wasnt all that exited anymore. Also, more or less only reviewers loved that horrible slider mechanism of N97, that thing was impossible to live with but nokia even received engineering awards for that horrible thing that didnt function in any healthy way whatsoever. Typical thing that only a reviewer can love.

i very much love the aesthetics of a mobile phone. right now i own sony xperia sp and i think only apple, sony and htc can produce great looking phone. i cant afford the flagships so midrange is what i look for. but i dont see any reason to switch to next htc 1 mini if it comes with snapdragon 400 with adreno 305 and only 1gb of ram. it will actually be a downgrade in terms of graphics performance. but i really am looking forward to this 1 mini as it is beautiful in my opinion. i hope htc ups the specs otherwise a no go to me.
