i got the phone six months ago. its the worst phone i have had. it claims to do a lot of things, but just isnt stable enough. its sitting in my drawer now rotting away. i bought the G1 for which i am having a lot of fun writing my own apps.
samsung should stick to making TVs or whatever.

the price is $600.00, it is expensive,SUMSUNG is not popular in Cambodia. NOKIA is widely populoar in Cambodia

Totally agree. I have a friend of mine who's i900 touchscreen has stopped working. Only thing that I can do for her is a total reset which would mean wiping the contacts and picts off the phone. If I can back it up beforehand then cool; otherwise it's a brick to her.
Nice phone, shame about the face!!!!

I would have loved if they would have added DNSe 2.0 ...
They had added it to North Korea Special Edition, but not Rest of World edition ... Damn!
Now, It's audio is good, but not best as yet ... getting my point?

In the UK, you can get the white 16Gb Omnia for £15 a month on vodafone. The 8Gb iPhone is still £45 a month, have to pay £100 up front for the 16Gb, same as when it came out. Just shows how much the omnia has devalued, because its such a horrible phone. The only thing going for it is the 5mp camera, but id rather have a C902 if it was for the camera.

iphone is far better when compared to omnia.touch sensitivity of omnia sucks.it is also not user friendly.one advantage is the 5mp camera

the screen is dull and faint, menues are very difficult to operate.
the auto tilt screen is so uncomfortable it changes many time when you dont need it ,even when dialing the screen rotates ( why for god sake...)
i have the HTC HD its by far better and by far more comfortable. even youtube on HTC work smouth but Omnia... forget it -it takes forever to load and screen sucks.

Iphone touch is capacitive (finger sensing) while Onmia touch is resistive (point sensing). Therefore, Omnia is meant to be used with stylus pen.

I agreed. Samsung touch is horrible. I had the samsung tmobile BEHOLD and it's the worst touch typing keyboard. The button bleeds to the next.

why not T*Omnia like specs, wtf the reloaded thing makes no sense.
Your correct dude people will not get this unless we also have the same specs as korea's or Japan's tsk tsk..

if it has the same touch screen like the previous version..i wouldnt bother...coz HTC,or IPHONE touch screens are by far better off...thats why i see a lot of used i900 used phone on the market now..samsung has a good name but the touch screen on omnia is really diappointing

EXATLY!!! I won't buy Omnia unless I can get the best version of it here in Europe. If just Omnia had 3.5mm jack for headphones (really don't like any adapters) and better screen resolution I would buy it. Nokia is pushing out just crap and ugly looking phones.
I'm going for HTC Touch HD, but maybe I just wait WMC and see what's coming in few months.
And just don't understand why phone manufactures can't make phone with following specs:
- 5 megapixel camera at least
- 3.5mm jack for headphones
- touchscreen
- wifi, HDSPA, etc.
- built in GPS receiver
- quadband
- 480 x 800 resolution
- 16M colours
- good videocamera
So far HTC Touch HD comes closest, dunno full specs of Samsung i8910 yet (hopefully it has good resolution & 3.5mm jack).

Silver looks more beautiful, purple looks a bit..well..cheap! :$
