From the little I can see of the actual phone, it looks like it is very cheap to make but somewhat similar in looks/lines to the Z1 (which will help its sales and Sony isn't any bit ashamed of pulling those antics -- the properly built Z1 is always around so that you always make the parallel and disregard how cheaply the G really is).
I am betting this one will replace the Xperia L (not the SP -- it's going for price) and it should provide some real competition to the Moto G (let's not kid ourselves over the reason Sony is calling this "Xperia G").
Interesting times indeed.

Cant they provide 16GB internal why 8GG? and... moreUnfortunately Sony hasnt yet gone up to 32GB on their flagships (Except Z1s for t-mobile) and they cant put 16GB in midrange when flagships are 16GB. Hope they rectify this in Xperia Sirus or they will see some declining flagship sales next quarter.
Anyway, now with Xperia Z so cheap there is no reason to buy anything else, its by far the best bang for the buck right now, regardless of brand.

In my country xperia Z's price already drop down near to mid-range price range, I'd get Z if I need a mid ranger, its hardware is way better than other mid-range, & it got 4.42 update...

What the hell? Cant they provide 16GB internal why 8GG? and thats fine no IP rating.4.8 inch with 720p / 1080p both works fine. Not an issue this should had been a mid ranger with 16GB else would be waste.

htc m8 mini is better than this device,4.7" with 720, 13 main and 5 front camera,1gig of ram(equal) until now.m8 mini equipped with 4cores 1.4ghz.
