Chine and Japan. How well these colour scheme changes have proved is anyones guess, but seen as more companies are making these changes, it must be good for business.

i'll never understand this fanboyeurism. at some time every company will copy something, and someone will lead the pack in a distinctive field. I.e sony and their waterproofing, samsung and their phablets, apple and their desireable design.

Spigen has Galaxy S5 cases for sale on Amazon. Some of the pics show a white phone with gold trim like the iphone, looks classy. They also show a traditional black and white phone. Some of the phones are missing a home button so are probably dummies, the overall look is probably genuine.
Wish we could see the phone out of the case!

They made contract with Apple. Trading their real valuable patents, for Apples BS patents for "rectangles" and "premium feel", and sealed tin-can "design". Just for using the apple's propaganda.LOL

Why don't they just call it what it is? It's NOT gold; better to call it "beige" colour. I doubt that it's going to be "glittering"!? Although they COULD add some glitter!

Samsung make always "gold" phones. Even they made S4 "gold" before iphone 5S . Check it out.
I don't see many "gold" iphone5S , too. So what?
And that's normal. Fake "gold" is kitsch, and ppl with taste wouldn't buy it. No matter Samsung or Apple or else.
Fake leather is standard in the technology, though. Check it out.

Gold is just a color. Samsung has released many different colored phones in the past. Now if you say they added a good color, fingerprint sensor and a 64 bit chip, then you could at sorta make an argument of following apple.
