what cell phones need:
1. able to go online - so when your bored and away from computer. Not for work because you should have laptop there. not for home because you have computer there. (iphone)
2. easy to text - its another thing you do when bored waiting somewhere.(qwerty)
3. operating system that allows phone to be upgraded - this way if something is wrong you can fix it and your phone wont get negative comments all the time.Also we could download whatever programs we want on our phone. (symbian os)
4. Top of the line picture and video camera because its all people do when they get together is take pics or record videos. It makes the phone fun to play with. (pixon & innov8 )

I agree the phones have a horrible design, sometimes thinking too out of the box results in not satisfying designs.

I'm usually not the type of person to frown on mobile phones' looks but the DX650 is plain ugly...
Yes, it's design is functional but it would seem that this phone spent such a short time in the drawing board.
If this is Acer's attempt at entering the mobile telephony market, they should either quit or make something really good... and fast!
