AnonD-81610, 25 Feb 2014Your first statement is 100% true! While your second isn't... moreGood points. At least with a "dumbphone" even if they can track you and monitor your texts, browsing etc, they can't extract your data directly from your phone (like Android, iOS and WP - people thought at least WP was somewhat secure until there was an article about Lumia phones "sending data to USA" on Finnish websites), or listen to you through your microphone.

If you're using a dumbphone you can still get tracked with cell tower info (location) and all your texts + calls can also be tracked.
But thankfully you have the Play Store (ironic isn't it) with some cool apps that can at least make some of the things you do private.
There are tons of free privacy apps for calls and texts, but you have to be careful not to use ones that are from US, because they are legally obligated to make a backdoor for the NSA. :(

I dont believe an android device can be made secure. Just get a decent Blackberry, which are very good devices, Z10 or even better Z30, and dont kid yourself any other mobile is secure, because they are not.

Ironically its for the GOV them self's.

NSA, FBI, GOV, CIA, Any Political body that likes to skeet in the white house or security that enjoys Brothels and Red Light districts. Any Gov ranking official that has secrets and wants to make things disapear. Ironically its perfect for the people that the phone is suppose to protect the public from !!!! Ironically Ironic LMAO.

AnonD-135230, 24 Feb 2014What is everyone doing on their phone that is SO important ... moreBe careful with that, just because you have nothing to hide doesn't mean you should be tracked or you are doing illegal things. Saying what you did it's the perfect excuse for the goverment to take away your privacy.

A lot of people value their privacy and they have a right to keep anything that's not illegal to themselves. Just because you don't respect your own privacy doesn't mean you get to tell people what is and isn't okay for others to know about them.

Some of you are so simple minded. Just because someone wants to keep their affairs private does not mean its illegal. I heve seen plenty of instances where findinging out personal information nakes people jealous or that information is used to compromise that persons life.

Also, we should probably track when if you used drugs so the NSA can use that information in 2099.

Remember, privacy is a Pandora's box.
