Programmer, 25 Feb 2014Most appmakers would not care if their app didn't work for ... moreThey will start caring when the 2% starts giving them bad ratings in app stores like Amazon, Yandex etc. Also, will they say "no" to earning money too?

Nokia think they are playing safe but once the phone release they will be forced to release the full version of android in coming models or this will be there strategy to enter in android OS because they are shy to enter in android platform after long bull shit windows platform which literally collapsed the company

Most appmakers would not care if their app didn't work for 2% of the phones. Especially if those 2% were hacked android clones.

Nokia is not a memeber of Open Handset Alliance thus not bound to use exclusively Google-approved version of Android. Same thing Amazon does with Kindle and also unending line of anonymous (mainly chinese) manufacturers popping around the globe. AFAIK, you can install GPlay etc. on all of them... for now.

there is room for that phone on the market, there are a lot of Nokia fans who will buy it for sure, but the future ? will they build an real monster , using all the best that they have ? that would kill Samsung Galaxy for good, imagine a real Nokia Lumia with Android, with a 41 mp camera, free navigation, etc.

The Nokia Lumia 520 remains a strong alternative to these semi Android devices in Nokia's product portolio. The 520 is the world's best selling Windows Phone and for good reason.

Nokia is giving Google a punch straight to the face. Using android but, not agreeing to Googles terms, thus using their own mapping, navigation and music services. So Google is not permitting them the right to use Play Store. But you can still use about all Googles apps xD. I'm not a fan of Nokia, actually using Xperia Z, but man Nokia did a clever trick there.
