I am waiting for the successor to Lumia 1020 with 41 or higher megapixels coupled with a gigantic sensor, high range Xenon flash, sapphire coated lens, variable aperture and maybe optical zoom

What is wrong with nokia? I mean they already know that people have been waiting for a 5 inch variant of the 1520 ever since it was released, so what's keeping them. It might already be too late when they do release it im afraid

It makes sense that they did not show any new products, before WP 8.1, when the date was so close.
But the 930, should have been out at the same time as the 1520. All they needed was support for newer components, and as soon as MS delivered on that, they should have updated their 9xx line.
WP is a nice operation system, that I wold like to recomend to others, but with such a outdated product portfolio, you simply cant.
And before the release of an new OS version, you never know what the support for current models will be (so even at times when you can find a 925 in a bargain bin, you cant know if it will be a bargain or not, since the price is still quite high).
Sure, WP is performing great on the 920/925, but it doesnt inspire confidence, when a company sits so far behind technically, even if the latest and greatest isnt really needed to power the OS.
How are they expecting to sell any high end phones when they feel 2 years old, and in many places costs more than last years high end offerings from other brands.
And how are they thinking when they are releasing special devices with certain carriers in the US, but without releasing them outside US. Generally in the mobile industry, a carrier can get a head start in a certain coutry, but that is not globablly, and in other countrys you have no problem getting the device.
US exclusivity isnt doing Nokia/MS any favours, when that is not even their biggest market.
Besides the Nokia brand name isnt worth that much, that they can play these kind of games with consumers. Releases to restricted markets does not fill consumers with anticipation, it just makes it more clear how outdated Nokia devices are. They need to push devices quickly on to the market. And they need a more frequenct hardware update procedure.
Really why do MS/Nokia think that their only relevant market share comes from low end devices?
Have it never crossed their minds that it's because they dont have any high end devices, they simply have low end devices some with a low end pricetag and others with a high end pricetag (thus not selling to well).
The 1020 is great when it comes to image quality. But its clearly badly underpowered when it comes to image capturing. And it didnt feel fresh when released in terms of the hardware, except for the camera module. And sure there were many people willing to offer the other stuff for the camera. But the picture to picture times killed it for many.
Clearly some people at Nokia aren't delivering. Just like it was when Nokia badly needed an updated version of Symbian(development was expensive and nothing was coming out), the very reason Elope had to kill symbian.
Who screwed who, really. MS might have bought out Nokias devices, but Nokia clearly wasnt developing units at an acceptable pace (those would have still come out after the intents of purchase from MS arrived).
And with MS close relations with Nokia, they held others OEMs from delivering interesting WP hardware.
Now their new high end devices will be launched after Sony and Samsung starta to deliver theirs. And HTC will have time to announce their as well.
Nokia/MS clearly missed their biggest shot at grabbing attention. They should have been first with the new generation devices. They should have been announce around the time of CES and already arrived in stores before Samsung, Sony, HTC and the rest had time to announce their new flagships.

Unfortunately, that's not gon... more5" maybe to big for you, but not everyone feels the same about the screen size as you. I for one love a big screen so should i apply my thinking about size as you do?
