        It's not a competitor at all !
        16 GB version Moto G with latest Gorilla glass 3 screen protection is still the best and affordable choice.

            This is more of a competitor to phones like Xiaomi Hongmi/Redmi and other lower-end phones. Moto G is at least one level higher.

                                  160 euros convert to indian rupees 13.5k and i will get easily Xperia M and Galaxy core @ 12k in india.

                                    There are other points in which the Desire is inferior to the Moto G. 512 Mb vs 1 Gb of RAM, mediatek vs Snapdragon 400 processor, 4 vs 8 Gb storage, Android 4.2 vs 4.4.

                                    Specs-wise, expandable storage seems to be the only major win for the HTC in comparison. If they are really interested in giving a fair fight in the affordable smartphone segment, they should at least offer a similar screen, memory and processor in my opinion.
