I had several Windows Mobile OS phones, from HTC Typhoon to Samsung SGH-i300 to HTC Tornado, to HTC Universal and finally Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. these ran on most versions of WM from 2003 to 6.5. I was still using the Universal running custom 6.1 (or 6.5 I dont remember) when the iPhone came out, and it was absolutely a piece of junk compared to the iPhone's capacitive touch screen, fluidity, ease of use, number of applications and everything else.
There's no denying that the first Galaxy S had an interface that is an identical copy of the first iPhone's.
I know the first phone with a fingerprint scanner isn't the iPhone 5S, but it would be insane to say that Samsung didn't literally copy Apple a few months after they integrated it in their iPhone.
Sony's waterproofing... same story.
It's just pathetic. Don't ever tell me they innovate. Even the S-Pen isn't new.
I'm absolutely happy for Apple, it's their rightful money out of that copycat's pockets.
They changed what a mobile phone is fundamentally.
BTW I'm not an Apple fan and I never owned an iPhone. I'm just laying forth the facts.

Samsung are now a major player and are able to compete in the market place. They are basically corporate bullies who try to get rid of competiton through the court romm becuase they can no longer innovate and compete on an equal footing in the market place. This all stems from the fact that if you win a case, you can potentially get a competing device withdrawn from sale and thus consumers are more likely to but your product. Hence why they go after the biggest and most direct threats in the market place.

Why Apple is so worry about some patent infringement by Samsung?, and don't care about a lot of large chinese manufacturers making exactly "copy paste" of the iphone. Those phones are perfect clones except for the apple logo, and Apple do nothing.
