I think this phone is pretty solid in it's segment.
It is a big brand name with good support and large retail network. If you're list of needs for your phone stops short of playing games, the trend plus would be awesome, as it is about 2/3rds of the price.
However if you want to play 3D games, the S3 mini (old one) already ran circles around the plus. The new version should be even better.
Also when it comes to storage the mini VE packs a solid 1/4/8 combo which is multiples higher than most competing products. I.e. you won't start cussing after the first large game install asyou are running out of space. What else in that pricerange packs that kind of numbers without going to obscure brands or high price phones.
I would not get to anal about the name, it is after all a better value than the standard mini....

it seems as though gsmarena has not yet reviewed the galaxy trend plus s7580.. unless different names are used for different countries..?

1. If it's just been released then shouldn't it have KitKat?
2. The loyal customers who bought the original S3 Mini should get at least the same version if not higher

why buy this phone or even the older gsIII when you can buy galaxy trend plus s7580 at 100e cheaper?i mean it costs around 250eyros and s7580 at 130.
check for comparison video on youtube between the two.its even faster on bootup!

Why Samsung is going same way as Nokia went? Now Samsung also making fool to the people by launching new one phone but specifications and prices are same as previous one as well as uncompetitive according to the present marketing circumstances. I think galaxy III MINI, 4 MINI ,TREND, GRAND QUETTRO,and neo series are only confusion and imitation of Samsung own best smartphone. Samsung didn't follow the same strategy as nokia did.

This is fail by Samsung. This phone should not even get approved by Google. New google policy say that every new phone shall have kitkat so how can this phone be aproved by Google. This phone should not enter the market even if its the same. Call itblack edition, pure edition, google edition, smartmove by some dushbag at samsung edition but according to new policy. Every new phone shall have latest OS which is kitkat. Google do you read this. Please fix this error!!!!!

i find it completely idiotic not giving even one update to the s3 mini which is superb for 110 euro without taxes and so many people having bought it and instead selling this meaningless phone.
