S4 is already the most advance phone today in my opinion, and S5 is just a minor facelift that's why the price is lower.

In Indonesia pre-order already open with Rp8,449,000 (~US$740*) price tag. IIRC S4 launched with Rp 7,499,000 (~US$650*)
*US$1=Rp11500 now
note: its probably because the rate of USD-IDR which only about US$1=Rp10000 one year ago, so S4 also have price tag around US$750 then.
So atleast in Indonesia S5 is not that cheaper than S4

Petru, 20 Mar 2014In romania at Vodafone cost 900euro!!! SUPER.Petrica, Vodafone Romania is a private company. Is not stupid who ask, is stupit who pay that much... I placed a preorder yesterday for this s5, with a resign for my contract ar Vodafone ro, a Red 29, witch i already have it since 2013, and i'll pay 350 Eur. So Vodafone is not a store or e-commerce. Vodafone is a network operator, so they want to you make a contract with them also and then the price is lower and in normal ranges. Salut!

Maybe it has something to do with a possible premium Galaxy F which will be priced higher and there has to be some sort of gap between their price ranges. I do think everything up until now makes sense for a premium version. The FULL HD resolution, the lower price, the plastic construction, the 2GB of RAM, the fact that it was launched before LG and HTC's flagships, they might want to have a final word, though there might be a small time-frame between the Galaxy F and Note 4, we'll just have to wait and see.

More expensive than S4 last year which started at 650 Euros but still not your claimed 900 Euros.
