23 Feb, 2009
By this point it is more than obvious that Samsung are pushing hard on all fronts. Obviously the midrange touchscreen market is the next area where the Korean company aims for with Samsung S5600...

What I would say to all those who are "booooooooooo!!! I want cookie plzkaythx!", I had one of the bloody things and so did my mother. BOTH of them began crashing within a week of purchase. One was the older KP500 in white/blue, and the other was a KP501 in black. I think it says something when both of them crash begin crashing, due to software error. All the samsungs I have known haven't had this issue. Just bear that in mind. PLUS this a 3G phone which I believe the Cookie Lacks.

Let's see it for what it is. A £129.99 (Orange) Tocco Lite plus 3G, Edge, slightly different looks and a must have for people who constantly want to have the latest thing. However Samsung have shot themselves in the foot with with the F480 Tocco, more features, better camera just 5-15% price hike. However the Tocco is older than most TouchWiz phones now so take that into consideration.

So i've been considering buying the cookie (my current phone is a V3X). I've read the GSMArena review and I have a general idea of some of the drawback. However comparing the features with the price I feel it's quite worth. So I would like your (the users) opinion.

Please tell me what you don't like about the phone. ( I wouldn't mind if you also post what you do like about the phone). I'm really tempted to go for it however I'd rather have the opinion of some first-hand users. This would be a great help in coming to a decision and (if I do purchase one) get ready to expect some of the drawbacks share your comments with me at http://www.LG-Cookie.com Take care.!

Why is Samsung always trying to copy LG?

Samsung had came out with their version of Chocolate and failed, then came out with their metal look version of Shine which failed, and now is going to fail following Cookie. I heard that Samsung is also copying LG KS360 with their own side QWERTY phone...

It is a pitty how Samsung the 'leader' is following the 'follower'. We now know who the real innvator is..

just i have one comment on samsung if you look at the user software of Samsung touch screen it all the same as F480 no changes or adding any new issue, but for LG its more friendly to the end user when anyone want to change the front page all what he needs is the move his screen by his fingure and many other nice features
any how its not matter to have touch phone at the end the customer who is going to purchase and use, so we are who will make any of them succesd

I'd get this hands down. the cookie is full of faults. the software is shockingly problematic. In my opinion and experience samsung just work better..

i have had a look and feel of this model and i must say it is fascinating. samsung as a brand are known to continue the trend of teh tocuh screen phones. f480,i 900, m 8800 etc. if you hold this model and the lg cookie in hand i am sure all of you will go for the samsung.it has a feel factor which is not prevalant in any of the previous touch screen phones.

i suggest for the buyers of the lg cookie, first have a physical look of this model (you need to make sure you feel it as well) which will definetly make you change your mind of buying the cookie.

if S5600 is supposed to compete with LG Cookie, i don't think it can beat the Cookie.. with just the design, i think Cookie is better,it is just right to the grip. S5600 is rounder, thicker and shorter than Cookie. Sorry guys, but i still go for Cookie..
