Well, I think htc is trying to make smartphones for different groups of people.For those who don't play games but want a moderately big and clear screens for movies and music videos,etc, I think the phone is not too bad. Moreso, Google has said that 512MB ram is enough even for the new kit-kat version to run smoothly, and you can depend on htc to have optimized the phone to work flawless with the 512MB ram for the non-game addicts. I don't get why the OEMs are so desperate to put up the Quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU instead of a Dual-core S4 in the mid-range phones. And 512 MB RAM? Seriously?

RAM is really shameful and a perfect idea to distract customers from your product at all or set them back if they ever buy it.

All those 256MB phones were running Gingerbread though.

Yes, nowadays at least a low end Android should give 1 GB RAM with dual core Qualcomm or relevant witj GPU 305 or.relevant, and memory of course should be.minimal 8 GB or more better.

In the year of 2014, the sale of new Android devices with only 512 MB ram should be banned even for a low range phone, period.
The min should be 1 GB of ram.

Oh this is not good. I love HTC but this lags behind the S4 One S even. They should have worked with the S unit, use up more of the realestate for slightly larger display without making phone bigger. Then beef up what was already good stats, sexy slimness and vulla .. even a better classic
