Samsung officially announces Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1

You all are saying its a downgrade but to be honest, the tab 4 is actually really great and really is an upgrade from the tab 3. It has a better display, it is faster, powered by android KitKat with the new touchwiz(not a fan of touchwiz but I like it now) and the material is better. No the camera isn't as great, but that's what a phone is for, or better yet, and actual camera.

samsung, please could you do not make your 8" table higher than 21cm.
tab pro 8.4 is over this (21.9cm)
note 8.0 is over this (21.08cm)
tab3 8.0 is good, at 20.98cm
tab4 8.0 is good, at 21cm (exactly at the limit)
why limit to 21cm? it is the shorter length of a A4 paper. somehow I would think it is good to set a limit, otherwise it will become difficult to choose.
fortunately i bought tab3 8.0 just weeks ago. i am sad to see the tab4 8.0 has removed the ir port, has down the cam pixel capability to 3M?! i wonder whether it is really no AF.
please bring a tablet that is within 21cm size, with cam sensitivity 5M+, AF, and "FLASH". hope i can find this in next version of PRO 8", or NOTE 8".

I think its a good idea that samsung make tab4 with 1.2 ghz cpu .... i think its will not be slow because it runs on kikkat which is too fast .. also i think it will be with a low price

Samsung made the Tab 4 8.0 worse than the Tab 3 8.0. They decreased the camera pixels and reduced the clock speed. Sure, it has more cores but those cores are clocked lower and therefore have to work harder. Well, maybe I should wait to see what type of cores they are. As long as they aren't made by the same company that made the cores for the Tab 3 7.0 WiFi, whoever that was, it should be OK. I just wish Samsung would attempt to make a true predecessor, rather than making the same device with a slight spec increase. Then a again, the 7-inch has finally gotten an HD resolution, and quad core. Now it can compete with the Nexus 7 2012! I guess the media wasn't lying when the said that Samsung wants to push customers towards the Pro line.

You know what is wrong ? back camera position, in TAB3 place is beter. Just try make photo and you will see why :)

nice , but may be price range will out of reach of students or mid - income persons , specs are found general and not much attractive

Damn you samsung! you are killin' me it's like 2 days ago i just bought the 8.0 Galaxy tab 3 and now the new tab 4 launched?! *beep this.
but the camera still bad though the new standard now is like 8 MP or 5 MP man you gotta kiddin' me bout that 3 MP camera

Seriously Samsung? all the 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 models will have the exact same specs? The specs aren't so powerful neither... if we add the fact that is going to be the same laggy TouchWiz... wow....Ga-lag-xy

Of course he will eyes for the newest model tab available and that is samsung Tab 4.
Samsung is smart for targeting this kind of "newest and latest" demand from first time user.

Jesus the tab 3 series isn't even 6 months old yet and they are realizing basically the same thing but with a 4 instead... why not just update the 3s with kit kat? I shouldn't have to buy new hardware just to get a goddam software update. Never buying samsung again!

the prices must be competitive coz the nexuses' are. I'm actually quite interested, depends if the specified chipset/gpu is good
