The only thing it wins in is browser performance, but that's only because Apple's default browser, Safari, is highly optimized for it. Galaxy S5's default browser has recently toppled Apple from its throne. Samsung, like Apple, has spent a lot of time optimizing their browser.

Also the battery tech have a long ways to go. My G2 already runs smoother then any iPhone. Not really sure why people need faster CPU at this point. Maybe a year or two from now, we will need faster CPU. But right now, opening an app .1 seconds faster is not going to make me buy a new phone.

According to LG, G3 will have a 16MP camera not 13 as mentioned in this article, 3MP front camera, it will also carry an Octacore snapdragon 801, ofcource KitKat and 4G, 5.5 inch Display, 3GB Ram and 4K.
So this monter will be on the top of the shelvs, no doupt, Best for me is that the battery is 4000 and memory slot available, i'm sure this model will be the hero for LG and who knows with proper marketing it might give Samsung S5 a hard match.

Or these are fake benchmarks like that with mediatek chipset or Lg will make 2 versions like Samsung...probably one with snapdragon 800 for Untied States and 1 with Mediatek/Lg odin true octa-core processor for rest of the world...I hope to have an octa core Lg in my country...

I don't know where they will reach with the inches increasment. I think 5.5 inche is phaplite category they have to stop and set boundaries. I think 5.2 inche is the maximum suitable size for this category. And regarding the GHD display if it will at least sustain the g2 battery life i think no harm in having it.

The Find 7 has a bit of an edge against the G3 with its Snapdragon 801. The G3 shares the same chipset with the G Pro 2. I have decided to go with the Find 7 now since the phone will have lower price with its better specs and will be available here in the Philippines for only 26K PHP. Among the four front runners (Galaxy S5, M8, G3 and Xperia Z2) I will go for Sony. It is the best among the four. :)

LG G3.....THE BEAST IS COMING......to BEAT S5 and Z2 and all other flagships, like s4 and Z1 died in fight with G2 before......
Dont worry Guys about 5.5 screen, lg will manages to make it compact, i think G3 size is not more than S5 even though its comes with 5.5 screen, because you know with G2 5.2 screen, phone is smaller than S5 with 5.1 Screen.

this higher resolution will kill the phone performance i cant think how much a better screen would look after i held the Note3 FHD seriously am willing to hold the G3 to see what the higher resolution will get us

If their QHD panel is more efficient than the one used on the LG-G2 for per pixel power use, then the larger screen size and a bit more thickness might allow for a beefier battery pack in the body. This maybe what they will be hoping to leverage to compensate for the needless extra pixels that will consume power.
If they match the LG-G2's battery life despite these bad moves to join the panel resolution race, it could be considered a 'save'.
The downside will be thickness and a heavy phone. I for one can live with that as long as the battery life is atleast as long as the Lg-G2's. But it's looking tough with these specs.
