How true are the rumors that Apple plans to add a QWERTY keyboard on that oh-so-overhyped-phone called iphone? That's weird. Os 4.0? Duh, i hate it when people in my place label non-iphone owners pathetic, and poor chaps.

Oh, btw, pondering on what i'll post, i was typing an sms with my left hand on another phone and without me looking at it. Ha.

An iPhone can only beat iPhone....dont compare it with cheap phones as of Samsung Omnia or 5800 which have mediocre and outdated Operating System.....The Fonts and display is so clear that after using iPhone you will think that you have lost vision on other phones.....They truly stand by their saying....."Look Apple Invented Phone"......Hats Off to OS and Application developers.Guys if you cant afford one dont post negative reviews and put others in dilemma....Its the best if you can afford!!!

Berns, 23 Mar 2009Most of these "new" essential functions and tweaks are old ... moreAnd you should try to use the iPhone a little. Maybe than you would find at that the over 25000 applications available for it make it a little bit more than just the capacitive touch screen.

For example, which other phone would let me use it as a remote control for my HIFI system? Or to manage music on my Mac? Or to totally manage my eBay sellers account? Or to trade stocks (I use to do that)? Or to use it as a wireless 16GB pen drive? And I could go on…. So it is a little bit more than just a capacitive touch screen. And you should try something before you make a commenting on it.

Most of these "new" essential functions and tweaks are old school features of most phone brands and os(es) in the market. I'm quite surprised at how the existing iPhone 1 & iPhone 2 users ever survived without these essentials. I always thought it's a given that iPhone 1 has all these, it being the most-advanced most-sought-after phone in the market.
This iPhone 3 unveiling is really a revelation! And, an eye-opener at how BACKWARDS iPhone had been all this time.
I had been impressed with all these commotion on iPhone since its first release. Now, i'm very NOT impressed.
As it turned out, all these iPhone fans had been swept away by one single cut social-status feature: CAPACITIVE TOUCHSCREEN.
No doubt, it's truly a wonder. But trading up all the essentials just for that one single popular feature??? What the.. ?!?$?@ Are the geeks of this planet getting Dumber and Dumberer???!?!
I found out that even this wonderfully magical touchscreen has its own pitfall. You CAN'T use a stylus on it. Heck, you can't use anything except for your finger. (Correct me if i'm wrong on this one.) Which makes the whole magical feature quite useless for me. I don't think my big fingers can be practical for spreadsheets, cad, sketch pads and other serious apps.
All this hoopla about version 3 has urged me to borrow an existing iPhone from a friend, just to check it out. The lack of essentials aside, i'm not even impressed with most of its existing features (both 1 & 2). I find it very limiting and suffocating. Like a COMMUNIST phone. All of what you can and cannot do, is dictated by, *gasp*, the PHONE! I personally prefer dictating to the phone on what i like and not like to do. Geez! i can't even arrange the icons on the home screen to prioritize the things i need to use more often!

No wonder my friends who use iPhones very rare send text messages. I thought it was an "elitist" thingy to want to pick up and call instead of sending a lowly cheap text.
Now i realize it is impractical, almost bordering on hair-pulling madness, to actually compose and send text messages on a regular basis. No forwards, no cut, no paste, no way to delete a text, no multiple senders.... absolutely NO CONTROL on text messaging at all!

I think people should wake up from this crazy idea of iPhone.

You know nokia were the last company among phone manufacturers leaders to come with 3G phones but they are the best seller in 3G phones, that is what will happen to touch screen phone.

these all new 100 features seems a baby steps towards modern technology. Copy Paste seems like a rocket science for Apple which they eventually achieved. Bravo!!!

The fact that the iPhone was introduced two and a half years ago, yet it is still the reference phone to compare to all the new phones coming out… well this speaks for it self. No other comment needed.

XT, 22 Mar 2009can any one tell me it will be possible to upgrade to OS 3 ... moreYes, one day when you plug in to iTunes it will say 'update available', you'll click yes to install and then it will be like getting a new phone, there'll be so much more you'll be able to do!

Unless you've got a jailbroken and unofficially SIM unlocked one.

Why are you all people talking sh*t about iphone? All the iphone owners bought them not because of the features it is missing but we bought them for the features it does have. I used both NokiaN95 and iphone for 1 month and I choosed to keep iphone because it has the features that i like. Sure NokiaN95 have 5mp camera but I seldom use the camera on my phone. Also I found iphone very easy to use than Nokia phones. STOP COMPARING IPHONE WITH OTHER PHONES. IT IS UNIQUE IN IT'S OWN WAYS. IF YOU LIKE THE OTHERPHONE BETTER THAN THE IPHONE GO BUY THAT AND STOP COMMENTING HERE FOR USELESS REASON....

still no video recording (i dont consider jailbreaking to add a video function as saying the iphone can record video) u shudnt hv to void ur warranty to add the features the phone shud hv come in the first place.

btw if iphone 2g was 5yrs ahead of the competiton according to steve jobs, y did apple make iphone 3g and revise the OS 2x?
