As other's have said, it's no longer Nokia, it's Microsoft.
Why would Microsoft adopt Sailfish for any of their phones? They now have 3 mobile OS' for phones currently available: Android, Asha and Mobile 8.x; there is no business reason to use another OS.
Don't be surprised if MS kills off Asha or Android and doesn't produce any more phones with one of those OS'. I would say that they may kill both OS', but it appears that Microsoft is position WP for their high end devices and the other OS' for lower end devices.
I expect Android to be the loser because there's overlap between the Nokia X and some of the Lumia phones in terms of specs and price. Asha phones are targeted for emerging markets with a price point around USD 100.00 (plus/minus 30). These are unsubsidized prices. If MS starts to release new Lumia's in that price range don't be surprised if the Asha's go away too.
Everything points to Microsoft moving people toward the Lumia/WP platform unless the X line sales are too big to ignore. Microsoft has the Lumia line at the top and middle. At a certain point the sales of the Lumia's from top to bottom will justify cost savings by discontinuing Asha/Android phones despite the loss of revenue.
It's just business. For those of you who have your doubts, recall how MS tried to force everyone to use Internet Explorer on Windows 98 and Windows 2000 (and the lawsuits they lost around the world), don't believe for a minute that MS will do anything that will give the Android (or Sailfish for that matter) OS' any chance to pull in revenue at MS' expense.

No, MS bought the entire devices and sales division from Nokia. Although asha series will still have the Nokia branding once deal completes MS will be the company behind it.
Nokia wld basically become a software company once deal closes and won't be allowed to produce any phones under the agreements to MS

Nokia should drop android and adapt Sailfish OS for the future
