They should wait a little bit and add add the snapdragon 805 instead of the snapdragon 801. The phones released in the second half of the year is always better. I'm pretty sure the Galaxy note 4 will use the latest snapdragon in the market.

Angry Mobile Nerd, 30 Apr 20141. Because people are willing to pay the asking price. Eco... moreSeriously you're using the marketing and olympics thing to justify s5's high price. Customers don't care if they put billions $$ for marketing. They dk marketing to sell the phones which benefits them not the customers. Samsung hardly uses high quality materials. Ya s5 is lot better compared previous s series phones but still nothing premium about it in terms of body.

Pressing the volume buttons on the back isn't awkward and you get used to it quickly. The problem is the lens is directly next to them and you'll smudge it regularly. Why they didnt move it to a corner like the iphone? Can only think they want it to look like the galaxy series.

I think most people who didn't like rear buttons never really used lg g2 or g pro 2. I hope lg g3 is a good phone if not I will get Xperia z2 and try to get used again with side buttons.

LG Manager: Please THINK OUT OF THE BOX! INNOVATE!! NO need to care about ergonomics.

LG Engineer: Uhhhh.. People put button in the front, sides, top. How about we put ours at the back, so people have to bend their fingers pressing?? *chuckle*

LG Manager: WOW you are a genius.. you get a cookie. I will announce it immediately!

LG Engineer: Waiiit .. nooo *i was just joking...* *facepalm*

vijayshimla, 30 Apr 2014If 1+1 can put a similar phone into market for $ 350 why wo... more1. Because people are willing to pay the asking price. Economics 101; supply and demand. Don't worry, you will see a disparity in suggested price and actual price with the OnePlus One too, because those fools @ OnePlus are only making a limited first batch I'm sure 80%+ of those who get an invitation to buy will go through with it to resell the phone at a profit. Supply and demand.

                                    2. Samsung and LG (and Apple) spend *a lot* more on R&D and marketing, these costs get factored into the price. Take Samsung for example, you think it costs nothing to sponsor the OLYMPICS?

                                    3. Because Samsung and LG flagships simply cost more to build because they use higher quality parts. FYI the most expensive component in a phone isn't the CPU, it's the SCREEN and the S5 and G2 use screens that were specifically developed for them while the OnePlus One is more than likely simply using an off-the-shelf screen. It's already been reported the S5 costs Samsung approx USD 250 to build, after you factor in R&D, marketing, and logistics, how can they possibly sell it for $300 at a profit? Simple rule of retail; 100% markup.

                                    4. Because the OnePlus One is essentially a Chinese phone at heart. This is nothing new, there are other Chinese phones at this price/spec range already and *tons* more (Octacore Mediatek's) for under USD 200 prices that will score over 30,000 in Antutu if all you care about is specs, not to mention with dual sim and a SD card slot to boot! Makes the OnePlus One look like a rip-off, doesn't it? Remember the OnePlus' $300 price tag is for USA only and in other markets the price goes up to as high as $380 USD.

Being a huge fan of marketing I think what OnePlus One is doing is genius, take away all the hype and clever marketing and all you got is a Chinese phone owned and built by Oppo.
