LG Arena expected with a European price tag of 399 euro

Received my phone yesterday, got a great deal with orange. Previously had an LG Viewty, but this phone has beat it by far.
Great little multimedia phone with a 5mp camera and lots of storage space. Just wish it had a sytlus as I am so used to using one now with my viewty. Love this phone and as I got it for free on contract(the day it came out in the shop)im pretty pleased with it.

I'm pretty sure fingers were around a long time before styli and they are cheaper too, downside is they are a lot harder to replace if lost.

Phone a little overpriced taking into account the fact, that it's LG, has no handwriting recognition, no stylus and poor battery. Also in terms of functionality, Arena has nothing special - just all must have functions for such class device. Also, we don't know how the new interface will work in real life. Again, good, but still kinda overpriced phone. The best way is to wait for 3-4 months until price drops and all new firmware issues are fixed ( just like for any other phone).

The apparent sophistication of this device will also prove that alternative operating systems to the main OS such as WinMob, Apple, and Android will can deliver smartphone power. Within 5 years practically all devices will be regarded as smartphones. The issue of 3rd party application add-ons is no longer a differentiator between the established OSs compared to java and others, as there are many aps available for the latter, and there is also genuine interest in fully functional out-of-the-box devices for many. The UI of the KM900 is promising.

The new screen is with 16M colors, which should give a much better impression than the Renoir with 256K. The screen has a much higher resolution too. Internal storage is 8GB instead of 2. and we can go on...
It seems like you didn't bother to actually look at the specifications before getting to the keyboard.

frenqly speaking...hmmmm. i think it is really too high price tag... becasue what's new in LG ARENA compared with LG Renoir, and even LG Viewty ? what's new except S-Class UI ? selling almost same specification with new UI....quite bad....and compared with SE Idou, Omnia HD, NOKIA N86, Nokia E55, or even Samsung I7110...... what LG ARENA can offer for 399 EUR ? frenqly speaking for me it is surely not a progress of LG company with this phone...

That's a lot of value for the money, LG should do quite well with this phone, it should be even less with carrier subsidies.
