speaking from personal experience, once you go big, you cant never go small. i've been using galaxy note series and frankly, nothing beats the viewing pleasure of a 6-incher or close to it. besides, often times i notice phones are relatively more powerful compare to tablet (assuming same release period).

In fact, I returned the M8 today because even though it is a 5" diagonal screen, the proportions make the display very narrow...similar to iPhone 5. The added height does nothing for me, except watching movies in landscape mode, which is about 1% of my use. I want a screen that is wider and larger and I'm not alone. The market has been going this way for several years, despite reviewers criticizing these "large" devices, there's obviously a market. And here's why. More and more the smartphone is being used as the All-In-One device (no pun intended). I do not own a laptop, my computer at home is in sad condition, and I want all of my data in one place. I need to be able to use that display for virtually everything. 5" is the opening bid for me. Yeah- 6" would be OK..for me, beyond that, in the 7" tablet range, the devices are too big to fit in a pocket and lose that mobility factor. For me, the 5"-6" range is perfect. And there's the M8 Mini, the M8 and the M8 Prime, so perfect, right? Everyone gets something.

I hope the features rummored in the article will be true and finally the camera will be good, also i hope it keeps dual speakers even more powerful that on the M8, and if the bezzels are reduced and the ugly HTC logo on the front goes away so the phone doesn't become huge this will be HTC best seller ever.

Pls htc should reduce the sizes of their phones not every body is freaking for all this 5.0 and upwards inches in phones. A phone is a phone and iPad is an iPad there is no need carrying something as big as an iPad on the ears.I. Love htc phones but they should give me a chance to pick one by making my size type. This big things look ridiculous .

Honestly, I think 5.5 inches is still venturing into dangerous territory. The M8 Prime should be the same phone with upgraded specs. They already have a killer/winner design. The only problem is the internals let it down, hopefully the Prime will fix these shortcomings. It pains me to see HTC struggling like this.

It's not abt selling in quantities
If u don't believe go checkout how Samsung and Apple own 106% yes 106% of profit of mobile industry
From where are they getting it
For sure, for Apple it's not only sale as it has less than 19% of d market
And talk abt marketing, Samsung is there at the top to persue people. Their marketing budget was so steep that they incurred operating loss in last quarter of 2013 though their sales were on the rise

Whe... moreits meaningless who started making first, more important is who is the best today ! best companies in smartphone business now are Samsung, LG, Apple, Oppo, Sony, OnePlus (i hope) and HTC but its no so good as below listed...
and if we call it "copying" everyone who will make QHD screen copies from Oppo, but fact that none of QHD phones is avialable for now (Idk if Find 7 released) who will make it happen first, then it wont be copying :D

HTC need recover they sales.But if this M8 prime release on september it was not smart strategy.Because the other manufactures already release their beast. Especially Samsung S5 prime, LG G3, Xiaomi mi3s, Oppo, Sony and iPhone 6..
