That would be funny if it didn't feel like something that could really happen, indeed ;)
They will probably also patent the back with horizontal lines and sue HTC for the HTC One's design.
The power button on the side of the phone would also be a nice guess for a new patent.. which would be useful to attack Samsung again.

I'd like ... moreI'm wondering how long it will take Apple to apply for a patent on any screen that is 4.7 inches in size and get it in the bent US courts and then sue every device manufacturer that has a 4.7 inch device on the market currently.

It is a CAD model, not a render. Possibly SolidWorks or something similar. I would doubt the authenticity as this would be easily traceable to the engineer or manufacturing partner.

Man, get your facts straight, radio signal can't pass through metal, if you want a metal phone without lines on The back and "internal antennas" (wich already are internal) go there and develop antennas that can work inside a full metal case.
