However, it's proven that people who buy phones on contract pay more for the service and the phone as compared to someone who buys the phone outright and the same service plan over the same time period.

Scoop, 20 May 2014 When it comes to tabs..I pad rules for a number of reasons... moreYes, Android tablets are good only on paper and price. Im looking at the kids here, my daughter and the friends with iPads are always using them, but the kids who have other tablets barely use them at all. For example the girl next door with a Samsung Tab 3 10, she never bring her tab 3 when they play, its always some of the iPad kids who have to bring tablet(s).
Its crazy when looking at specs, i thought iPad Mini, the first one, had to be so useless, the hardware is so dated that how could it be any good at all? But when i tried it, wow, much better than Galaxy Tab 3, it was smooth and games ran like champs, fully useable tablet for only $299. Partly useable Android tablets cost more, i tried some Asus tablets with quadcore and whatever but they didnt cut it, one have to go up to the level of Xperia Tablet Z/Z2 before it gets any good performance, but now we are talking very expensive stuff and still it doesnt have the qualities of an iPad.

When it comes to tabs..I pad rules for a number of reasons...Period.
I am not an iPhone fan-boy but you have to give them the due credit.
Samsung Galaxy Tabs are OK in that price bracket..but I PAD gives you that seamless pristine TAB experience IMO.

Every time i see people in the supermarket with rejected creditcards and not enough cash to pay their groceries they have iPhones. Its very easy to get free iPhone 5S here on 24 month contracts, several options.

And, marketshare is one thing and web statistics another, iPads are being used many times more and that doesnt come as a surprise to people who have had both.
There are two options, one is to buy Android tablet and then when you realize it is not being used you get an iPad next year. The other option is to learn from other peoples mistake and buy an iPad in the first place, save yourself the trouble. For heavy tasks there are windows 8.1 tablets, very different thing.

No surprise that they're losing market share (like the iphone, they're too pricey for what is becoming a commodity product) but what is surprising is the rate.
I think the slickest tablet on the market now are the Lenovo tablets.

Again there is a mention of something called Windows. What is that? Anyone seen any of that? Is it any good? At 4.1% marketshare you'd think you see some of that now and then.
