Guys i found something Interesting about new material which HTC is going to use in Htc one M8 Prime.....
    have a look below....

    Advantages of Ceramics Vs. Steel

Our ceramic products outlast the hardest steel by 10 to 20 times with regards to service life. Our zirconia based ceramics are the toughest ceramics known to mankind. The higher strength and higher hardness of our patented ceramic materials yield superior wear and abrasion resistance as well as superior corrosion resistance.
    Technical Advantages

    Higher strength
    Higher hardness
    Superior wear and abrasion resistance
    No corrosion - Ever
    Electrical insulators (oxide ceramics)
    Best thermal insulator - zirconia
    Withstands high temperature (> 1000°C)
    Withstands thermal shock

    Cost Advantages

Replacing worn steel parts less frequently lowers total cost of ownership in both labor and replacement parts cost.
Net-shape ceramic manufacturing, however, can lower the cost by almost 50% for many applications by eliminating or reducing the cost of hard machining using diamond tooling.
If dimensional tolerance is not stringent and for medium to high volume manufacturing, e.g., over 100 parts per week, ceramic can be competitive.
For high volume requirements, ceramics can be injection molded. This lowers the cost to the level of stainless steel.

    Performance Advantages

Typically, ceramics outperform steel by at least 10x
RocCera’s oxide-based ceramics do not corrode, whereas steel parts do corrode
Our ceramics can withstand higher temperatures without compromising the strength
Alumina and zirconia ceramics are superior electrical insulators
Zirconia ceramics are the best thermal insulators
RTZ ceramic has low coeff of friction, μ (0.2 – 0.2) requiring no lubrication as contrasted to steel.
Under high load, steel against steel is prone to galling – ceramic does not gall
For specialized applications, steel requires an additional processing step to improve the surface hardness

      What is the battery capacity????

I know another material that is cheaper than aluminum, easier to work and more durable: PLASTIC

Guys, have you ever heard of ceramic engine blocks? There are very tough kinds of ceramic.

Gary, 20 May 2014Space shuttles don't get dropped on concrete...So you suggest the nose cone is a decorative part of the shuttle?

Have you heard about shockwaves? The nose cone of spacecrafts able of atmospheric reentry is a whole science on its own due to the extreme pressure and heat, even if they are insanely strong they must be constructed in a way that deflects most of the power from shockwaves. You probably do not understand but just trust me when i say that it there because its insanely strong.

More info on RCC, the ceramic composite material the nose cone is made of, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinforced_Carbon-Carbon
as you can read there it lacks impact resistance, but that is common for very strong materials, Gorilla glass included (which is why GG is unsuitable for protective eyewear, Corning tried but ended with disaster when they had to recall the product due to extreme shattering hazard, it was much safer to not use them. Still, we are then talking impacts, not a 5 feet drop on concrete, which is quite insignificant by any measures. Even weak metals like iron can be dropped on concrete.

A wrist watch made from cer... moreI think you are right, this one could be very expensive to manufacture, this isnt regular ceramics for pottery but high end stuff. The upside of manufacturing costs is that by using some high pressure molding process these ceramics may not need much postprocessing before going to the assembly lines, maybe just a few holes that need thread tapping to have something to secure the mainboard to, as opposed to the aluminum body of M8 that requires timeconsuming CNC milling and additional color/coating.

Apparently the person who wrote this article does not know what ceramic is. Yes, the stuff from which coffee mugs are made is also ceramic but that's not all what ceramic is. I doubt really that they will build a phone out of porcelain... There are advanced ceramics that are better in every way and also more expensive than metal or aluminium for that matter... carbon ceramic brakes would be just one example
