Also, i think the iphone shipment volumes will decrease. It hasn't been innovative for ages and it's lagging behind Android in the features it introduces. Not even a bigger or cheaper iphone will fix that.

just speculations.
If WP starts to grow, I expect it to grow more than that. If it stays a nische, it will probably not gain that much from todays situation. A few newcomers, while loosing out on the nische that was the 520, that will be faced with heavy competetion from Android, FireFox OS, and so on, since by that time, there will be cheap and powerfull enough chipsets to run other OSes in that pricerange.
Other OSes will probably grow more than that. It seems that when the price is an important factor, fluid experience somewhat triumphs over large app catalogues (most people getting those phones wont be spending a lot on apps), as can be seen by the above mentioned 520.
iOS will probably drop a bit more, perhaps not in sales, but in market share. Lots of companies, including google is aiming at emerging markets, and we can't expect apple to enter that market. If they do, they may end up hurting their brand in such a way that others will loose faith in Apple, and shift to other makers, instead.
BlackBerry will probably be gone by that time. Replaced by a forked android. Or perhaps bought by a company like Lenovo, and then they would probably be a lot bigger than those figures in this article.

That is the dumbest prediction ever. Apple has to be aggressive which I believe will be to protect its territory of innovation, and capturing newer markets. Samsung will be digging its own grave next to Nokia and Blackberry, for lack of innovation. LG may rule Sony may be a distant no 2 in Android domain. Mr. Nadella's aggressive spirit will make WP close the ranks of iOs and Android. By that time even new OSes like Tizen, Firefox, Sailfish too will be trying to make their presence felt and by that time something from the cloud too will be trying to make some noise.

Android rules. I´m a android user but, leaving my opinion aside, i think android will get even better and better and it doesnt matter other platforms, android will be always on top.

Dm, 29 May 2014yup tru, and in same context, mercedes is hopeless in relia... moreToyota LoL, lowest quality car in South East Asia. They are cheap though, much cheaper than Honda and Mazda 3.
The worlds worst car is almost certainly Toyota Tamaraw, Vios and Corolla not much better, and then Yaris which is by far the most uncomfortable car to drive, those things simply refused to stay on the road, just like Android, very popular but horrible.

I can envision Microsoft which has been more innovative lately with Surface Pro 3, Skype real time translation, etc. to surpass Apple in market share in a few years to take #2 spot.

wat i predict IOS & andriod will lose market share once once windows is sold by lots of OEM's thereby making a wider reach.
I am andriod user looking forward to use windows mobile in next 24 months.

This is just expectations WP is already favourite for those who have used it but why does google is against it so much not letting it to gain market not allowing OEMs to make Windows Phone and allow dual boot phones???

It must compare like this as iPhone is by apple like last time Windows & Apple OS..you can't say can't compare like this cos' nearly 95% of the computer in the world is using the windows system...first need to stress one point here...IOS is nor A Lambo...you're tarnishing the Car name just by tag the IOS name with one of the Great car in this whole world....So what we need to stress out is the OS system...as Apple is using a closed and now android like OS....only have 1 kind of phone and also 1 OS..how to say can't compare with rest of the phone...As rest of the phone also produce by most of the reputable company in the whole world. LG, Sony, Samsung, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Alcatel...can't you say those company are not famous as Apple by lower their standard like Apple is the best...You're wrong Fans boy, As per the history shown...Apple will only be An Apple with Steve Jobs...without him Apple is just another fruit name in the Grocery store....Windows success story had proven that.

sony samsung nokia lg motorola and the billion chines gadgets they run on android
