Q3 Samsung Galaxy S5 orders down 25% in iPhone 6 anticipation

In the end it is still the overall best device and still overall the largest update among flagships despite that factor. As well luckily 2GB suffices most.
As for the no excuses. I mean come one. They had 3gb and used it prior. They were first if i remember. Plus on top of that most people using 3gb are using a Samsung chip. And more on top of that they almost have 4gb ready which is more than likely to be in the note 4.
So why on Earth did they stick to 2GB on S5?

Samsung made a terrible decision in NOT UPDATING RAM to at least 3 - 4 gigs. Although by hind sight, the polished graphics, larger screen and "floating" on water make up some how for what is lacking.
Let's face it, Galaxy end-users are very particular about their devices, hence the drop in sales in Q3.
We expected MORE from the Galaxy line. I just hope that The S6 is much superior.
I've had been a long time Apple I phone user, since the 3GS days but I saw Apple's marketing agenda,which is" squeeze" all the money their clientele has and make a profit. I left the iPhone for Samsung.
Here's proof, today apple split their market shares from 600+ per one share in order to atract more fools in the mix, allowing the stock to be more "accessible" to consumers and investors alike.
Enough for today children.

OK, but why are people waiting for iphone 6 and avoid the s5? Probably one factor is represented by the fact that samsung comes with crappy updates, no new features and s2, s3, s4, note 2 buyers are changing perferences.

I suspect most are holding out to see what the Note4 and GS Prime are like before buying just as I am rather than waiting on the new iPhone.

it has more to do than just the iphone, 1) the lg g3 is a better phone period. 2) Samsung has a S5 prime coming out, why would you settle for a decent samsung phone when you can get the same one but better, 3) the competition is just getting better, you have HTC and Sony are making better and better flagships (excluding LG because it's already mentioned). 4) Other less popular and newer manufactures are gaining grown such as Xaimi OPPO and OnePlus are slowing gaining popularity in the world cellphone market. Apple will always be in the top 3, but Samsung will probably slip more and more as the competition gets stronger.
