Android flagships are around the same price as the latest iPhone, that doesn't keep them from being sold in large quantities.
Not everyone likes a closed OS where Apple decides what you can and cannot do, and how you should use your device.
I would have had iPhones before if they weren't so closed.. I had 2 iPod Touch, got bored really quickly of the closed UI, had battery problems after a few months, and will probably not buy any in the future, unless they change things.
Same goes with iPhones.

If this is to be believed, I'm not a fan. I'll have to wait & see what the actual device looks like.
The iPhone 5s is the best designed thus far IMO. Apple should've built off that design.

Also the new feature "battery usage by apps" may finally pinpoint rogue apps that drain battery (bad software programming is a problem that no OS can do much about).
Overall, the WWDC left me very optimistic, with hopes that the hardware will match the brilliant software displayed recently.
