Processing video for gestures is a bit of a resource hog. It requires processing a number of images every second. Each image has to be processed in memory, which also requires a lot of CPU as well. You can guarantee that a WP device with only 512mb of ram and a dual core CPU will not be supporting air gestures.

technology is clear, this could be nice feature if they add API into OS

but I think senseg is even better feature, it will have bigger impact. They are looking for Android developer, so MS should take action here to.

"Senseg’s hardware development is well underway with a first generation chipset available now and a second generation under development for delivery early next year. A hardware development system and associated software SDK is about to be launched and we now seek to strengthen our HK/SZ team with a Software Product Marketing Manager to focus on helping us create an ecosystem of developers embracing Senseg’s haptics technology. I'm a very passionate person of technology! and so as well of innovations! !!! So if everything will be true? Microsoft will deserve great, great compliments! !!!!!

We don't know much about this technology and how will be implemented... so for now is pointless to bash something is still in progress.
