AnonD-1825, 10 Jun 2014Wrong, people still prefer iPhone and iPad, no-one else doe... moreThe bloated or inflated sales figures happen because people do not think before investing. They simply follow the iCrap herd and repent later with bulky useless instruments(so called gadgets).

I doubt those figures with that price.

The iPad sold to android/symbian/BB/WP users.
The iPad sold to business users.
        The iPad solt to schools.
The iPad is used as a payment and contract signing equipment for on the go sales people.

And even I that can appreciate a smartwatch, price to usefulness value is lower than the iPad if it is priced at 299.

Plus, $300 is almost $40 cheaper than Samsung's already available Galaxy Gear 2. (which I'm extremely certain will have to make use of third-party apps to be half as efficient as Apple's coming smartwatch.)

Apple has always prioritized the user experience, and they leverage both new and old technology, whichever gets the job done best. They ignored NFC, and went with tried and tested Bluetooth LE for their iBeacon technology, and now, Android is following suit with "nearby" despite the entire Android community trumpeting NFC for a long time.

The latest WWDC has truly captured the attention of developers, with Apple embracing them more than ever before. 2014 is going to be a pivotal year, especially in the coming months when Apple announces hardware to match the launch of both Yosemite and iOS 8.

But smartwwatches are never the top seller hottest item now. But when iWatch is here, suddenly the sleepy smart watch sector will be busting with excitment and all the competitors will suddenly wake up and have an idea how to respond to competition

Is this the real design? Very nice it this was true

When Apple launched iPhone, smartphones are already in markets and both makers and consumers laughed at them, then makers copied, and consumers preferred them.

When Apple launched iPad, tablet PCs are already in markets and both makers and consumers laughed at them, then makers copied them, and consumers preferred them.

When Apple launched MacBook Air, netbook are already in markets and consumers laughed at them that no one wanted a crippled notebook with expensive SSD, yet makers suddenly made Ultra Books and ditched netbooks, and consumers yet again preferred them.

When Apple launched iWatch, smartwatches are already in markets and and we see the pattern again: both makers and consumers laughed at them... Anyone want to guess what happens next? LOL

It's not who laughs first, but who laughs last that counts.
