Bleh, 12 Jun 2014Dude, Samsung tunes their sensor the same way they tune the... moreMeanwhile back here in reality...whether it hurts your fan boy soot or not the facts are that Samsung does one of the absolute best jobs at fine tuning these sensors.
Sony makes great sensors and overall does OK. ...but use your brain. I mean this is the Z2 using the same sensor as in z1 for the second year now...and though it's better and good...it's not not as good now as it should have been initially in the z1.
Time to taste reality and lay off the hurt.

It may pop on a 5" screen, but examining an S5 photo on a large monitor shows Samsung's shortcomings.
Sony does a much better job of tuning their cameras for more balanced photos, and so does Apple.

How worth while are they? Yeah exactly! pretty pointless and worthless voted by fanboys of various brands. Opinions are just that, opinions, not facts. I attest the quality not on the words of someone else. I don't know about you but I have eyes to see the pictures and judge.
I use countless shots taken by so many people posted on flickr under various conditions, ISO, exposure etc and using my eyes to know what is the best out there. Not some reviewers or fanboy polls. A quick look at at these tests and their methods show they are not even pixel peeping. If you don't pixel peep just about every camera looks good downsized. Some choose warmer pictures some choose cooler ones. Again all pointless. Personal tastes and popular opinions don't make for facts.
You want to play the popularity contest then I can point to several sites that voted the Z2 to be the best snapper out there not to mention DXOmark but again that's just opinion not facts. You'll lose the popularity game if you want to play that.
I will pixel peep and compare the full resolutions shots and their EXIF data. You do that and you will see the Note 3 and even S4 take better pictures over all any ISOCELL based hype.
If Samsung does go back to using Sony sensors what will you do? ;-) I know what I will be doing, gloating about it till you turn red in rage.

Yes the S5's sensor is amazing and on top...however the question does stand. Which sensor is actually better if Samsung were to tune both of them.
However that m whatever person is just a rude person pretending they understand things. Hype...lolol.

why unnecessary sensors??? When Samsung will make decent phone software like iOS 7 - I switched to iOS after using Galaxy note 1 & Galaxy S3 - two horrifying phones-- anyways I think only putting sensors & cores wont make a phone premium or better. Samsung should spend more time on iOS & iPhone for future enhancement(- don't just blindly copy) otherwise in near future samsung will be putting more and more fu**ing sensors and cores.

Clinton, 11 Jun 2014Sony made the cameras from the past S and Note devices. Son... moreNot from S1 or any phone before that. Samsung made them. And their photos were better then too. In fact Samsung made the first sensor to most sensor updates up until and including 12mp.
Plus first 720p capable sensors and playback on mobiles.
