Have used BB for years and there is no other better phones than them. I like the Z30 and the Passport gonna kill the market. Android should start doing PLAYSTATION games for their customers. Weak security phones with androids

No need for logging in and out of the app. It's actually tedious and time consuming having to do that everytime on whatsapp, viber, or hangouts or even facebook messenger, so I usually set them to be "remembered" so no need to log in each time. The "privacy" that you are asking for should be taken care of by the device password. If it is only I who have the password to my device, then nobody else will be able to see my private messages. That is why it is called a private message after all. What BBM is assuring you, more than other messaging apps, is that no third party can just intrude with malware and obtain your information from the messaging app or from the phone itself. Because the OS is secure. That is what BB OS and BBM is all about. See you need to understand its not about being able to log in or out. You may be able to log out of your google hangouts, but deep inside the google servers, your account may still be being mined by those adwares and malware that may have found its way into the app (because it is not as secure). I hope that you are able to comprehend that because I tried to simplify things for you to understand.

bb passport actually has touch sensitive keyboard..really excited about it plus the rumoured hardware are so awsmm...really looking forward toward it..bb rocks

Im out, currently using BB Z10 and was gonna get Z3 for others in our household, but due to privacy issues with BB 10 there will not be any BB phones at all here, im going back to Xperia. Too bad, BB10 is the best OS but when i am being forced to be logged into BBM 24/7 is not an option, on Android at least i can log out of or disable the Hangouts crap but BB will not allow anything of the sorts, you will be forcibly logged in without your consent and will NEVER be able to log out of BBM again, and it cannot be disabled or uninstalled. Unacceptable privacy violation, buyers beware.

The sales are still increasing worldwide, and this increase is flattening out in some matured market. However, the economy in most of these countries are good and people upgrade often. Also, the markets in questions are the ones with the highest percentage of high end devices = highest profitability. Theres no risk of sales declining in 1st world anytime soon.

BlackBerry should create a phone that has physical keyboard and a good stylus that really works. There are virtually no smartphones that provide this combo that one really needs for productive purposes.

I have Blackberry Bold, BB Curve, 2 androids, and an old Nokia XpressMusic.
Blackberry weakness is its trackpad. my BB Bold trackpad is already loose, lot of accidental click when I just slide on it. same with the back button. my newer bb curve still fine anyway.
My two droids (desire and optimus) still have good screen no crack whatsoever (dunno where you see people with cracked screens busted housings lol). but the newer desire already had erratic touch behaviour.
my nokia xm is the oldest, still rocks (literally) music loud, boot very fast (bb & droid need 1-2 minutes to boot), a perfect backup phone.

There are no free apps of BB OS.
When you see even written free,after 3 days they send you a message that you can't use this app any more for free because you have now to pay for it.

BlackBerry makes excellent phones, I still have all of my BlackBerry phones and they all still work. Every person I know on Android has cracked up screens or busted housings, Droid quality varies dramatically. BB phones hardware are made with the same level of design and precision that Apple phones are. The OS isn't as popular I will grant you that, but it is a very capable phone and will run circles around other phones for email purposes.
