sybian os is good os for mobile phone so toshiba should choose this for their mobile

But Microsoft isn't designing a software for a specific group. Its for a whole range of people. Also it isn't designing an OS for a specific purpose or following a specific usage. Look at Vista. Windows 7 is going to become Vista+ minus the excess baggage. And since XP, touch support has already been built in into the OS. In other words, Microsoft tend to load Windows with 10 million junk because it still thinks an OS should be all encompassing rather than usable. So what if it copies Mac. I can say the same of Apple copying Microsoft by entering the mobile phone market. Its not copy. Its just technology.

Also need to appreicate what it can do. If you end up buying a WinMo and use it like a Nokia smartphone or think of it as an IPhone, then obviously WinMo sucks. Obviously being a WinMo user my opinion is biased, but having moved from S60, tried out the Symbian Touch, I can say S60 wasn't designed as a PDA OS. Its a phone OS first. Organizer comes second. Even multimedia support ranks higher. For WinMo, its a PDA OS with phone functions and not so savy multimedia support.

No matter what microsoft do to it they're just masking many underlying faults. The whole thing needs to go back to the drawing board, i'd be surprised if it's not already. Phone manufacturers like htc, toshiba, samsung are gonna get very peeved some time soon.

True these phones are all very powerful Hardware-wise but the OS just sucks. I mean for real, Winmo? i cant understand why all these manufactors are backing Winmo so much when its clearly the worst mobile OS out there. Just imagine the Toshiba TG02 and TG03 powered bt Symbian OS9.4 5th Edition. Now that would be a phone to talk about. Its sad to see that outside of Nokia, samsung is the only other manufacturer to really support Symbian when it pretty clear that Symbian powered phone sells way more that the likes of Winmo

All OS have their limitations... all have flaws!

Thats because Microsoft makes mediocre operating systems, all versions of windows included. All they've done is copy OS 9 and OS X in every iteration. In fact, they make mediocre software alltogether. Internet Explorer is slow, insecure and bloated, Powerpoint is a joke in terms of productivity, RD is allways miles behind Citrix, Media player is also slow and buggy.
And the Zune..... well.....

Beautiful phone but ruined by the os. never again winmo. All the snapdragons processors in the world wouldn't fix this sluggish, bug infested software. Windows need to scrap the whole system and start from scratch. I love bill gates and want to suppoprt him, but he needs some tips lol. Just like Apple with the iphone, lovely os because they started from scratch. Please no iphone hater comments please.

Almost Toshiba design is not special, both laptops and phones, that's the reason I don't like them
