Google launches Android One smartphone program

Karbonn, Micromax and Spice are the first participants in the program and all phones will run stock Android.

Google will drop it's name by doing this Spice & Karbonn r shittt , micromax is still ok. GOOGLE should go for this big companies

          At first, I also thought about that but there might several things to consider:
          1. Country Policy. China phone makers is an obvious good choice, but Sundar didn't pick them maybe because of the strict country policies. While India doesn't really strict the OS features or data.
          2. Price. China vs India phones relatively have similar price. Japan and Korea phones are out of question, because of pricey.
          3. Market. India has a large market for Android too, not as large as China but it's a good place to test the project because of reason 1, 2, and 3.

                I would like to get a micromax Android, but only if they use Qualcomm chipsets. I won't go for mediatek, instead wait for any Qualcomm snapdragon 410 enabled Android

Chinese OEMs use Android without Google services [except for export] so called AOSP or their own Android variant.

                                        Great. Just because he's indian, all he advertises are indian phones made in china (indian here BTW). Trust me, the quality of those phones are way off base on the $100. Where are the "real" phones? Even here, not a lot of people buy those.
