This isn't a leak, this is a nexus screenshot placed over the S5. Notice the on screen home back and menu buttons. Those are hard/soft keys on the phone. I have a S4 GPE and it is great, but I don't think I would purchase one again. I used to have a provider and international model that prevented me from using NFC Google Wallet. Only a select number of specific carrier's phones allowed it. With GPE you could just use it, but I miss touchwiz, and especially with an S5 one shouldn't waste the additional cash on a GPE. I suspect you lose the slow motion for sure, maybe even the 4k shooting. The fingerprint and heart rate scanners. You also don't realize how comfortable and nice touch wiz is until you start playing around on stock android. On my S4 the stock camera has never integrated well for some reason.

Sabanisthedevil, 17 Jul 2014Downside of losing unique Samsung software? DOWNSIDE?! That... moreAnyone who is looking at this is looking to lose TouchWiz.

I think they refer to the software that interfaces with the unique hardware like the fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor and software like S-Health, etc...

It probably makes the HTC One M8 more attractive since you aren't paying for hardware that won't work on the GPE. If only HTC would sort out that camera... the idea is good (more light per sensor) but the execution leaves a LOT to be desired.

WIWOFIT, 02 Jul 2014Nexus 5 has different group of people as target consumer, b... moreI'm guessing that they went with the small battery to save money. If you compare the Nexus 5 with its LG cousin, the Nexus has a smaller battery, slightly smaller display, and lower res cameras. Google probably figured that the battery would be sufficient for the great majority of users (and didn't count on the power consumption problems with the camera app). Fortunately, Android L increases Nexus 5 battery life dramatically, addressing one of the phone's main weaknesses.

Nexus 5 has different group of people as target consumer, but
they ignore something basic, like battery, some people still need external
charger to keep enough power, why couldn't improve battery power capacity? But
it’s an opportunity for some company like : WIWOFIT Smart Circle Qi
            Wireless Charger (from Amazon)

How do they expect demand to be high when the GPE phones aren't available in many play stores yet?

AFAIK it's only in the US play store? They might see some demand if they allowed Australians (and other people around the world) to buy one.

That might have something to do with band/frequency support though. Samsung have always been pretty bad at that, meanwhile Sony's Z2 has virtually global 3G & LTE support.
