the price is gonna settle down soon. the thing is we don't know the price it will settle down in 2-3 months. if its around 300 euro it will be a big success. otherwise probably not.

I wish OEMs offer a solid mid-range phone with at least a HD display, S4 Pro or Snapdragon 600 with Adreno 320, more than 1 GB RAM, and very good still image and 1080p recording capability. Xperia SP and ZR meet those criteria, but their 1080p recording is pathetic. Samsung's mid-range phones offer very good cameras, but have to settle for sub-par Adreno 305 GPU. I don't like LG's UI, so LG phones are a big no for me. HTC phones are seriously overpriced compared to the features they offer.

Just a price disaster from Samsung... Such device should cost around 300-350 Euro max. Why would someone to pay 480 euro for this phone if he could get Moto G for 160 Euro? Ok, somewhat better specs, camera and expandable memory should add, say, 100-120 euro. But on other hand Moto G works flawlessly well and receiving new Android versions very quickly. So, Moto G price 160 Euro + 120 Euro for somewhat better specs in S5 mini = 280 Euro. What about remaining 200 Euro price difference? How would Samsung justify it?

Galaxy S5 was a big disaster in my country because of the unreasonable pricing for a mediocre Exynos chipset phone. The patronage was so poor that the price plummeted to 420 Euros from 620 Euros in just 2 months. It's amusing to see Samsung pricing its mini version very high again.

LOL, that's obviously not worth it...
S4, Z1 Compact, even One M7 are much better deals over this....mid-range subject. Even better, for that much money I can get myself a Note 3.
That's some bad pricing, Samsung, and sadly that's all you do these days - aggresive pricing on devices.
