You're essentially paying that much for the name when you can get a nice electronic gadget which does more than the bag which just carries things.

i think blackberry phones are more usefull than this one.
in business they need phones w/usefull features like wlan, edge, gps, 3g, etc. i see rich/businessmen and women using smart phones than expensive one w/ less features

get a phone like a e71... gold plated , inlaid with diamonds. or something atleast useable.
            i do understand limitations.
a full touchscreen phone ofcourse limited space to show off the bling... but still

its the same as having a fully pimped out bodykit.... and your car only runs 50mph...

a true luxery phone needs to have the standards of a new phone.. put pimped out with exclusive materials or design..

Wow. Looks good too. Classy. Unlike some luxury phones. By the way if you were rich, you wouldn't really care ugly or not. Basically, this is a beautiful phone compared to other luxury handsets. By the way, don't get me wrong. If I were rich i'd want to use it and not hoard it. These people buy it for status. Some may even carry a proper phone in their other pockets. I mean, why else would someone buy a supercar worth $200k to $1.2m when they could get a cheaper normal car?

I'm afraid those companies are repeating the same mistake that lead to "crisis" of 2008-2009: over-production of over-priced goods. If they hope to get money from kids of rich people, that is another story.
IMO they are all doomed. The companies, not the kids.

Wait, the HTC Diamond doesn't come with real diamonds? Haha.
I'm sure some shallow douchebags will buy this joke of a phone. It does makes the Prada and Armani phones look average and normal by comparison.

please..were not after the materials used, we're after the features that are useful.

"The handsets' bodies are covered in leather (genuine alligator, shark, lizard and buffalo leather in more than 100 colors)"

sorry i need to correct that

the handsets' bodies are covered in leather (belleperre is killing alligator, shark, lizard, and buffallo for materials thus why can't they just put features like a smart phone has?)

i know its off the belt. but im really sorry gsmarena this thing came in my mind when i read that part.

                                      Utterly pointless.

Is it faster than other models out there?
                                      No

Is it a revolutionary operating system?
                                      No

                                      Is it smaller or lighter?
                                      No

It's a Tata engine wedged into a ferrari body. Why waste your money. You would only spend hours worrying about it getting stolen and all of your normal friends will think you are a pretentious git.

Oh yeah, another expensive phone with limited functionality.
Just what the Global recession ordered! LOL

I really don't see the point, flagship models seem expensive enough in the current climate.

Just my 2 pennies, maybe all the rich people thrive on this sort of thing?
